The Lion Gate Mews
● Closed“During our relocation back to the UK, we stayed at Lion Gate Mews for 2 months. Was meant to just be for a month, but we ended up extending for an extra month due to some personal circumstances. I really can't remember how I stumbled on this gem of a serviced apartment, but we were looking for a self catering apartment where we could cook since we had to go into quarantine upon arrival. Upon arrival, Mark arranged everything we needed and upgraded our room to the next category as he knew we had to quarantine and the room we booked might have been small. Everything from service, to the cooking utensils, to the washing machine (downstairs) to all the gadgets was in perfect working condition. The rooms were very spacious with nice beddings and bath amenities. Cleaning was done once a week and oh my ..you can't go wrong with the location. The location of this place is Spot on.. Right by the the entrance of Bushy Park & Hampton Court Palace and 5 minute bus to Kingston High Street, you really cannot go wrong.. A BIG thanks to Mark and his team for making us feel at home during the last few weeks and we will be sure to refer all our friends who visit London looking for a perfect serviced apartment close to Hampton Court Palace.”

Brothers Cafe & Restaurant
● Closed552 High Road, London N17 9SY, United Kingdom“Delicious Somali food! My friend brought me here and it was the best restaurant meal I had during the trip. We had a soup, then a platter of chicken and beef served on perfectly cooked rice. Accompanied by salad and a super fresh and spicy sauce, let’s not forget the banana. We wanted to try also the date cake, but it wasn’t available anymore, lucky us I guess because we were already stuffed. Now I want to try their other dishes.”

The Hoxton, Southwark
● Open“Shiny new hotel in a convenient but remarkably quiet location. While the ground floor is painfully hip in the evening, the rest of the building is very comfortable with excellent design. I was in a "snug" room which was perfectly adequate in size for a couple of nights, and indeed was bigger than some London hotel rooms I've been in. The bed was super comfortable and there were even a few interesting books in the room. Breakfast was excellent - freshly made and very tasty. Receiption staff were brilliant - friendly and efficient. Immediately stopping whatever they were doing to address the clients at the desk with a bg smile, something that many other hotels should learn from. I had a delicious cocktail in the rooftop restaurant, again with fantastic staff. Only request would be to remove or put the curtains to the side so we could enjoy the amazing view. Only off note was the ground-floor hostess looking around the almost empty restaurant/bar area at breakfast and telling me that guests are recommended to book tables for breakfast. There were at least sixty open covers, and I have never been told that by any of the many hotels in which I've stayed. I will definitely be returning as I really like this new entry to the London hotel scene.”

Living by Scape
● Closed“Excellent stay. It would not be too much to call this place flawless. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is extremely well maintained and sparkling clean. Interior of the whole property is very appealing. Good community overall so I felt very comfortable despite of being an introvert. Perfect location, everything is nearby and in walking distance. Studios are very nice, airy, bright and spacious. Other things I liked are as follows: 1. Free room cleaning for once in every two weeks. 2. Free bakery items and drinks (juices, beer, soft drinks etc) everyday. 3. Personal balcony for all the studios on the top floor. 4. Short term contracts are provided and are very flexible with extending contracts. Few suggestions: 1. May be install stronger heating (resp. air conditioning) as top floor studios get extremely cold (resp. hot). 2. TVs in the studios would be nice. I would definitely stay here again if I get to move to Guilford in future. Highly recommended!”

Astor Hyde Park Hostel
● Open“This is the one; you can stop searching now. Hands-down the best hostel in London—I'd know, I've stayed in 7 this month. Astor Hyde Park strikes the near-impossible balance between social and laid-back that makes for an ideal environment. The staff is super friendly and helpful; thanks to Siissi for literally always being around to answer my relentless questions. Clean, comfortable, amenities—all that. Coming back to this hostel felt like returning home.”
