“Absolutely the best coffee shop around. Food is great, there are always a selection of freshly homemade cakes and treats plus a couple of quality savory items to chose from. The coffee drinks are excellent, they rival any of the great independent coffee shops in central London. The best thing about this place is the way it feels. It’s only little (as the name says) but it has a warm, lovely, homey, authentic vibe. (In normal times) there’s always a rotating crowd of people at the tables inside and outside, chatting and enjoying their neighborhood. When I moved to the area I found it hard to get know people but I always felt welcome here, wound up meeting the owners and lots of other patrons and got to learn a little more about the area thanks to the owners’ commitment to engaging with the wider community. Although they have been delivery only for the Covid period the tasty treats and warm vibes are still present. I can’t wait to be back in the shop again soon!”

“Walked in there recently to find a new vape for my partner. Ryan was extremely helpful and told us about the different values. He didn't try and sway us to the higher priced ones and just gave us his genuine opinion. Very friendly and a joker. Will definitely be going back there”

“It was my first time visiting Mleczko Croydon and I was amazed by all the choices. The staff were very helpful and explained what the items were because not all were labelled in English. After you paid at the counter, they have this cute customer ratings screens for you to rate your experience.”

“The one on Ruskin Parade us closed. Perhaps s change of name or shut for good. There's another one on London Road with the same name. There's Terra House, a Romanian shop and bakery on Brighton Road on the left hand side as we face the North before the Bridge and Nuevo Ponte Restaurant.”

“I went in to my local Screwfix branch (Croydon - Purley Way) to measure up a replacement syphon for a toilet cistern. I was served by Jennifer who was extra-helpful - bringing me different ones to look at so I could compare against the old one I had with me. It was really nice to be looked after like that, for a trivial, £20 purchase. Very pleased and I hope her management let her know what a great job she's doing.”

“This new shop is a great addition to Purley, where you can buy Asian food, including all types of spices, lentils, snacks, etc. Everything is clean and neatly displayed on shelves. Free 1 hour parking bays are available outside, which is convenient. The staff are very friendly and helpful.”

“I was referred this branch by a nearby Iceland because I wanted some specific things. Unfortunatey they didn't stock the chip shop curry pie or the Birds Eye Unicorn waffles. Apart from that I managed to get Lorne sausage and Spam fritters.”

“Busy Lidl. Usually well stocked on most lines, but if looking to get any of the weekly specials or offers it's recommended to go early. There are usually some good offers in-store & if using the Lidl app for available coupons. The middle aisles will often have a range of seasonal offers & lines with some well priced bargains, so always worth investigating. Good range & quality of fresh fruit, vegetables & meat. The checkout queues can get long, but the self-service POS tills help when only doing a smaller shop & does tend to be quick even when the store's very busy.”

“Such a huge fan of the staff in this store, they all seem to enjoy their work, will have a joke around and are generally just nice. They have a great selection for such a small store - including hot Costa coffee and breakfast - and have fresh daily baked goods. Well worth joining their members club if you live nearby.”

“Great shop and friendly staff . I was looking for a nice wine to gift someone and was amazed to find they had a great collection of them. Raj one of the staff took the time to find out what I needed and what my preferences were, and then he walked me through the different wines and promotions they had. He then hand-picked couple of Wines, and even helped to gift pack them. Great service . I will definitely use this Great local shop in the future too.”

“Visited this place last year for the IKEA seaweed pearls. What annoyed me was that it was listed on their website for £1.50 and it is still £1.50 to this date but at the store it cost me £1.65. I didn't realized at time of payment but when I was writing it up I realized their was a price different. Apart from the price difference the taste was good.”
