“Great food, very friendly staff. Vada pav had a slightly different coating but tasted delicious. Pav bhaji was good, ras malai cake is a must try. Good find in Croydon given that there are rare Indian street food restaurants here.”

“Absolutely the best coffee shop around. Food is great, there are always a selection of freshly homemade cakes and treats plus a couple of quality savory items to chose from. The coffee drinks are excellent, they rival any of the great independent coffee shops in central London. The best thing about this place is the way it feels. It’s only little (as the name says) but it has a warm, lovely, homey, authentic vibe. (In normal times) there’s always a rotating crowd of people at the tables inside and outside, chatting and enjoying their neighborhood. When I moved to the area I found it hard to get know people but I always felt welcome here, wound up meeting the owners and lots of other patrons and got to learn a little more about the area thanks to the owners’ commitment to engaging with the wider community. Although they have been delivery only for the Covid period the tasty treats and warm vibes are still present. I can’t wait to be back in the shop again soon!”

“My option is that these guys who work here have incredible patience and education. I am a regular customer and I always ask them how they tolerate so much rudeness from people. the coffee is very good. I just have to walk through the door and they already know what to prepare. I have read comments here that they are rude. but I have seen situations where they are literally disrespected and they hold their own. I hope all Costa employees are like this team that works in this store.”

“We had a wonderful brunch at the Martil cafe in Croydon. The food was delicious and well presented! Generous portions and reasonably priced. “Excellent cafe I had the pancakes breakfast number 1 that came with pancakes bacon sausage hashbrowns scrambled egg and toast all beautifully cooked and super tasty. The cafe itself is very clean and tidy with very friendly helpfull staff. The menu is stacked with all foods from super health to super treats and also great milkshakes and beverages.”
