“Was looking for a local cafe for a vegetarian breakfast with good reviews, we were originally going to another cafe but luckily we decided to try this little gem! We were warmly greeted and seated quickly (given we are in the midst of COVID19). We were given paper menus and all the tables were socially distance well with a track and trace QR code on the door too. It was really well protected and safe for the patrons of the cafe. Our order was taken and we were served an amazing fresh breakfast with a tea each, for me it was a perfect portion (not too much and not too little) and filled me up. Refills were free which was great value given that they came free with our breakfast. The food is fresh and tasty and I highly recommend the vegetarian to fellow veggies or those wanting a leaner option. The hostesses were all friendly and lovely people, from a little chat when ordering to a joke when paying, it made this little cafe pop out and make it feel more like you were at a friends or family members kitchen for brekkie. I only have praise for the ladies (didn’t see any men but if there was them too). Cost was shockingly low and when we were presented with the bill I thought something was missed off but I was told nope that’s all it is, I will be going back for all the reasons listed above. Plus at this price it makes it hard to even make my own brekkie for less. Highly recommend this to all and remember to tip and support these business in these times, they are going above and beyond to keep us safe. Huge thanks to all of the hostesses (and hosts)!”

“My parents are buried at the cemetery the tea room is fantastic as I travel from North Kent down to Essex it is lovely to have a drink first. The staff are lovely the prices are good”

“It was Mother’s Day, we were just passing and decided to have a look. It was very busy and fully booked for lunch but the staff were very helpful. We had a pot of excellent tea and soft drinks for the children, sitting on very comfy sofas. Staff were attentive, answered our questions and showed us the menu. We were all very impressed. Food looked iamazing. Great menu with lots of choice including plenty of vegetarian options. Prices were very reasonable too. We will definitely be returning for lunch.”

After the committal we took some of the red roses and put them next to my mum's wall niche in the garden of remembrance and they looked lovely. “I often visit during the weekend when supporting young adults with autism the team are kind and supportive and very accommodating to what ever random food requests are made. The warm family welcome has made our young adults comfortable to order independently and to sit and eat. The food options are varied and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend for SEN families to visit for a meal and wander around the garden centre.”

“Really excellent florist, we've been going to a slightly closer place for years now, but have been dissatisfied with their flowers. We thought we'd give this place a try, and we were blown away. We've have 2 bunches off of them now, mother's day and a birthday, and they are magnificent. They did exactly what we asked for and they have well outlasted the other florists flowers. We are so happy to have found this place and will not go anywhere else now.”

“I order a bouquet for my mother in laws 80th birthday. It was amazing - totally outshone all other bouquets and arrangements she received on the day. She loved them. Excellent service and quality. The lady in the shop was absolutely lovely.”

“Our first time at the Jobbers Rest. I booked a 3 course meal + wine courtesy of a freebie virgin experience and from the moment me & OH arrived, we were made welcome. Ordered cheese soufflé with sauce & beetroot terrine to start, confit duck dauphinois potatoes French beans & carrots & trout with brown shrimp potato rösti, then sticky toffee pudding ice cream & pistachio soufflé & ice cream. Even the house red was very good. Cappuccino’s were good too. All courses were beautifully prepared & cooked, especially the pistachio soufflé. The service was as good as in a top class restaurant, attentive but friendly. A special shout out to Lee, our waiter, what an excellent job he’s doing, paying close attention to everything. We’re looking forward to returning very soon. Would really recommend.”

“Went for lunch for the 1st time. We ate off the lunch menu 2 courses £17 or 3 for £19. The meals were amazingly good for the price. I had the King Prawn Linguine which was the best I've had at any restaurant. Followed by Chocolate Brownie with ice cream. Great service completed a 5 star experience”

“Great venue Have been here three times now. Two wedding that were somehow different to each other but both absolutely lovely. The third was a 21st birthday party. Staff are excellent and food great. Venue has always been beautifully decorated for the event. Comfy spots to get away from the music if needed. Clean toilets. Stayed in rooms once. Nice rooms but did need upgrading when we stayed 6 years ago, but think this may have now been addressed as they have had a refit, however, cannot confirm this.”
