“I have been coming hear for the 3 years and this hospital is an example of shear brilliance! The building, grounds, facilities and staff are amazing! There are very limited disabled parking bays onsite, however, there’s plenty on surrounding roads and even the underground car park.”

“For 3 years I've been dealing with a mild, chronic case of pericoronitis. After switching dentists I was referred to Guy's Hospital. The referral process took 3 months. Once I got my first visit, I got a CBCT scan and a second appointment all within 3 weeks. They discussed a lot of different options for me, which ones would be best, and why. Decided to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed under general anesthetic, and waited an additional 3 months for the surgery appointment. So in total, around 6 months from referral date to surgery. My appointment for surgery was at 15:00, but didn't reach the theatre until 18:15. The surgery itself went super smooth. I felt great after, and recovered at home on a liquid diet for a week, rinses, and alternating between ibuprofen and paracetamol. For reference, my teeth weren't that complicated and I have a high tolerance for pain The staff was absolutely wonderful. They gave my partner all the information needed for the recovery period, all the pain medication, and would have been available in case any side effects emerged. They also warmed me up with a tube under my blanket as soon as I woke up from the anesthesia, which felt great. I can't fault my experience at this hospital in any way. Waiting 3 hours past my appointment time was tough without food or water, and it's something I wasn't told or prepared for, but I know how busy and overworked hospitals are here, plus I was given IV fluids so I felt fantastic after the procedure. And sure, I waited 6 months from referral day, but I am very thankful I could get this done for free under our health care system. Were my case more serious, I think my waiting time would have been less. But either way, I'm super satisfied with my experience at the Dental department of Guy's hospital!”

“I was seen by the consultant Mr. Agrawal on Wednesday because of unbearable pain due to Kidney Stone as shown by the CT Scan. I was operated on the next day. I am so glad I chose that option as the stone was breached and would prolong my agony. I am now pain free and back to normal. The care was excellent and very professional from outpatients to discharge! The staff was so warm and so caring. Extra care was given to me as a patient with round the clock checks until my discharge the following day. The food was excellent too. Highly recommended!”

“It’s nice to have the option to do the tests you want without needing a referral but even if you want to do a test where a referral is mandatory, they can recommend their own private GP who writes one for you. Very effective services, much more affordable than other private diagnostic centers, convenient locations and results received within 2 days”

“I’ve always had great care at this hospital, from the nurses and staff who looked after me when I had an op, to the physio department, to my surgeon himself. The building is a bit dated if you compare it to the Guildford Nuffield, but that’s the only fault I can really find with it”

“Excellent care and well informed by the surgurens and anesthesist. First surgery I've had and everything was carefully explained while also giving reasonable reassurance where needed. Perfectly looked after by the great night shift nurses and discharged same day with detailed instructions for being at home.”

We have seen many doctors who just sent us away - stating that this is normal for his age. Dr Muller is the perfect example of a doctor that every parent would like to know. Not only he took great care of our son even after his working hours, but he also kept us updated on the results of every test immediately. He kept on checking on us late at night and days after the visit. I can't recommend Dr Muller enough, and we won't see any other Dr for Joshua till we have to :)”
