“Walked by quite a few times and have been meaning to try Thai Chefs out for a while - it didn’t disappoint! Food was delicious, hot and well priced. Would recommend to give them a try. Small error with one of our dishes as ordered black pepper stir fry but received pineapple fried rice, however it was so good and opened me up to a dish I wouldn’t usually order so no complaints from us.”

“Went back to Di Paolo's for a 'date night' with my fiancé. We love this place, the staff are so attentive, nothing is too much to ask and the food is outstanding. I had fish soup for a starter (which was so fresh and full of flavour) and he had scallops with black pudding. For main, I had the liver and bacon (which was cooked to perfection and served with a wonderfully creamy mash) and he chose the lamb cutlets, which were equally delicious. Every time we leave we can't wait to go back!”

“Best place I have visited in a long long time. I have travelled 2 hours to that area and best part was popping by this restaurant unexpectedly and having lunch. Felt like visiting a close family home and having the best food EVER! Their pizza oven, piano, Italian design… their pizza is the best and that strong Italian coffee… so happy I have bought cookies at the Casereccio as if we would live any closer I would buy them way more often. Standard bar. Food was really good. Service a little hesitant as team settle in. Prices low now because of opening promotion.”

“Mmmm shashlik! Tender, spicy but not hot spicy......make your mouth water spicy. Charcoal chicken wings. Not the skinny flappy bit but,the shoulder and bicep. A tiny sprinkle of fresh lemon juice drizzled into the munchable, tender chicken. The starter dip things.... FANTASTIC Turkish naan. Light and fluffy with a good outside crunch, dipped into fresh proper humus. A garlicy yoghurt dip thing. Grilled onion quarters in a pomegranate sauce. A fresh and tangy salad with tomatoes, cos lettuce, cucumber, onion. Often Turkish salads that I've had have just been sprinkled with vinegar which, can make them slightly bland. Not so Charcoal's salad dressing. Imagine a charcoaled meat selection served on a bed of rice with a chips border and a sort of thin, round flatbread covering to keep the aroma and heat contained. Lamb shish in very small,succulent cubes on wooden skewers. The charcoal chicken wings, shashlik, thin strips of doner.thick, tender lamb chunks. Add a glass of Turkish red wine (or three). Maybe some Turkish tea with something sweet for those of us who like the slightest perspiration invoked by overeating. Yes, they do takeaway. Yes they have all sorts of fizzy drinks. But, they are not your usual Turkish takeaway. This place is well worth a sit-down for an hour or so and serious, professional eating. Opposite Lidl so maybe, if you do some shopping in Lidl - you could park there. Personally, I think it's worth taking the Northern line and walking from Edgware statation. A couple of outside tables for those that need a quick cigarette or an afternoon cup of coffee and a baklava. I was introduced by a friend who is Turkish and himself a retired restaurateur. In the 20 plus years I have known him - he has always steered me to places that are good quality and not overpriced. This isn't a place with fancy carpets and bow tie waiters. It's like a mum n dad place who care and concentrate on flavour.”

It was my eldest son’s 21st last night and this is where he wanted to come. 3 generations later and still the same classy experience; The food is exceptional, Enzo and his staff are the best in the business and nothing is too much trouble. If cost is your priority, this is not your kind of restaurant. If first class food served by exceptionally attentive yet subtle waiters in intimate and personal surroundings is what’s required, come here as you’ll never be disappointed.”

The menu has a wide range of choice, from popular and well-known to more traditional Nepalese dishes. It was all delicious, and a good price for the portions, especially the sharing platter. “We had pizza, calzone and tiramisu. It was lovely, quite busy and lots of birthdays going on around us. Only niggle is that we wish the tiramisu was a bit sweeter. There is a bump/step to get over to get in and toilets are downstairs, so not particularly accessible.”

“I always know I'm going to have a great meal when I come here. Friendly staff and food is served so quickly. I'm a big fan of the Naked Ramen and either the chicken or pork gyozas. Definitely try the matcha ice cream too if you're up for a dessert! If you want a ramen bowl with all the extras you'll pay about £12 - £15 but you can go for the ramen as it comes for £8 and be more than satisfied.”
