The upstairs kept my geeky friends happy with the interactive TVs and the bar is well stocked with speedy service. “Went as a guest really enjoyed it loads of space, was able to use the gym equipment I wanted to use, loved the steam room but could do with another jacuzzi as it was always full every time I tried to use it. The food and service was good to.”

“The most important thing is the food is really good! I had ordered online and been surprised how good the food was. There was a discount voucher in that order that suggested we could sit inside and eat our food. I was unsure how this would work as they are a takeaway joint. There are tables towards the back of the premises and you can sit and eat your food but the only issue is, because it's a takeaway joint there is no cutlery to speak of. The sweet and sour chicken we ordered had such big pieces of chicken in it was tricky to eat. Definitely give them a try, the food is great. If it's a nice day you can still take out the food and perhaps walk to the park, which isn't far.”

“I really enjoyed it. We liked different food, so a Moroccan place did the trick. Staff was very helpful, my wife was asking plenty of questions and was helped at every step. The food was at a decent price and very nice. Couldn't find anything to complain about at all.”

“I popped in out of the rain for some lunch and had a very nice meal. The French onion soup was excellent, and the steak baguette was a credit too. The steak was very tender and hardly needed any chewing. My only criticism, though personal, is the onion chutney, should have been served warm. But that's my opinion.”

“Love the white lion, beautiful country pub, visited often over the years. Lunch with mum Both had prawn cocktail, proper cooked chips. Generous and delicious. Looked after by Charmain and staff, very attentive, friendly”

“A local chippy, so I got fish chips and curry, very nice too. Lightly battered fish done while I waited. Shared with the wife and we both had more then enough. Chips wrapped separately to the fish and curry in a lidded carton. However, it is a Chinese family that runs the shop, and they have a comprehensive Chinese menu that I might go for next time. The shop was very clean and Covid friendly, three staff in the shop wearing masks as were customers. No more then two on shop at same time. Actually the shop itself was not busy, but telephone orders were, with a 20 minute period from ordering to collection. A pleasant experience and reasonable prices. I will be returning.”

“The food is lovely here. Never had Tex-Mex style food but it's really good here. The birria quesadilla was stunning. Tender juicy shreds of beef in a flavoursome sauce. It's godly this one. Really lovely spices in there. Safe to say it was our favourite one here! The pork belly was fatty, tender and had a lovely char/smokey flavour to it. Corn tasted good and the rice tasted pretty good too. My friend enjoy his burger a lot. Overall. Decent portions and friendly people. I would definitely come back here.”

“Just left Zizzi in Cheshire oaks, our first visit certainly didn't disappoint! Great food, generous portions and the flavour combinations of the Piña colada sorbet were delicious! Even more wonderful we were able to customise the ice cream offered with it (as my partner has an aversion to coconut) which was heaven. The real highlight though was the staff. In particular a young lady with shoulder length dark hair and then a gentleman with a fantastic smile who took over when her shift ended. 10/10 will come again and bring friends!”

“We have a Toby Carvery about 2 miles from home. We don't go because it's pretty dire, food isn't good and neither are the staff. We are on holiday in Chester and our friends booked Toby for this evening. We were welcomed by a very nice gent, who showed us to our table. The young man on the Carvery was extremely helpful when I said I was vegetarian and pointed out which roasties and other things were suitable, without me needing to ask. He was pleasant and cheery, and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The other staff also the same. The place was very busy, but the staff were still attentive and happy to have a quick chat. The food was very good. Everything was piping hot and well cooked. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a 50% off voucher and actually felt guilty using it! Felt like we were robbing them, considering how much we had enjoyed it.”

“We visited for my sons 8th Birthday after a day at Chester Zoo. The food was amazing and the Happy Birthday written on my sons dessert plate in chocolate sauce was fantastic it really made him smile. The staff were lovely too very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back when we visit the zoo again.”

“good food and excellent customer service! we ordered take away for collection however when we got home we noticed that there had been some confusion with the starters.. I called to let them know and within 5 minutes they had brought the missing items to the house before we had even finished the other starters. I will be ordering from salma again in the future!”
