“One of my favouritest go to places in Chester! Overlooking the river Dee and the meadows, it’s one of THE best dining experience with view you could find! During the summer times with three tiers of outdoor seating, you get to see one of the most picturesque sunsets in Cheshire. During winter, the fairy lights and the warm ambiance, makes it a great place for parties and celebrations! The food is mouth-wateringly delicious! The service is impeccable as always. Hard to find a fault tbh. Will keep going until the council decides it’s better to keep the place as it is. It’s a gem honestly and I can’t imagine Chester without Et Alia!”

“This was the second visit to The Yard for my husband and I, having truly enjoyed the first. We invited a couple of friends to have dinner with us so we could catch up, having not seen each other for over 20 years. At the time of booking, I had requested a relatively quiet table so that we could chat comfortably. When Aimee, the delightful General Manager, greeted us on arrival, we were impressed that she had considered my request and seated us in a pleasant, quiet booth. It was a superb evening again! The service, food and ambiance were all excellent. You can sense that the team at The Yard are all passionate about offering a great dining experience. Of course, it was a real treat to try more of Carl the Head Chef’s dishes, especially when we explained to our friends that he had worked with Gordon Ramsay in his 2 Michelin Star restaurant. Furthermore, there is nothing pretentious about The Yard. It’s great food at great prices!”

“After being turned down at Carouse after making the reservation, this place absolutely saved our night. Charlie was an absolute star taking care of a party of 9 at the last minute and making it so lovely and memorable. Highly recommended, food was lovely, so we're the drinks. “This is one of our favourite restaurants in Liverpool. The chef/owner is dedicated to food and is focussed on taste and presentation. The menu is varied with an excellent lunchtime and early evening set menu which is extremely good value. i like that they don't serve exclusively French wine and we had a lovely bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon today. The service is always friendly and unobtrusive”

“My friend recommended this place to us after having a good experience here. We were looking for somewhere to book for one of our friend's baby shower so we all decided to book here. It was the best decision ever, from making reservations at the restaurant to leaving the restaurant. We asked whether we could put out some decorations and they were happy for us to do so. The service we received were amazing, we had Aldo and Roma looking after us and they couldn't have been better people to. All the staff were so friendly especially Aldo, who've made us all laughed the whole time. The food were amazing, cocktails and drinks recommendations couldn't have fault it, beautiful restaurant, good value for money. Me and my friends have had an amazing time here and we are definitely planning the next trip to Bollicini for another amazing day out in Chester.”

“The best Italian restaurant I know . Always go back. This was our first time in Piccolino Chester and was not disappointed. Met our expectations. We went on Saturday night for food and drinks, pasta + pizza were the best I've had. Staff was very nice and we're making a nice atmosphere so everyone enjoyed , we had so much laughter it was definitely a great start of Saturday night. Went back Sunday for lunch and couldn't leave it was so lovely , everyone smiling making sure you leave the place satisfied. Portions were huge , well seasoned. Already planning to go back.”

“We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more than at Veeno Chester for my friend's 50th. The area we were given upstairs (with one window overlooking the catherdral) had been decorated with tasteful eco friendly decorations, the food and drink was delicious but most special of all was the personal touch from our wonderful waiter Josh. He saw to our every need and was so welcoming and friendly. Thank you Josh!”

“Lovely coffee and lunch today at Cibo, West Kirby. Latte was good and hot. Lunch was the chicken and bacon Panini. A little different from what you get everywhere else being on tomato focaccia which was really nice, with plenty of filling and hot. Wish we'd had room for the delicious looking cakes on display. Definitely go back there again.”

“Brilliant selection of shops for bargain hunters… Cheshire Oaks is a must-visit, we’ve been 6 times in the last few years and always come away with a car full of goodies! The selection of shops is brilliant here and the offers you can get are even better - you can also get a 10% discount card from guest services if you stay at the local Travelodge or are a blue light card member, worth knowing! Parking here can be a bit bedlam, especially if you visit during the peak hours, luckily this time we arrived 10 minutes after opening so we didn’t struggle to get a space, I will just mention though - the spaces are tiny, not great for big cars. There’s a decent choice of food outlets, I do wish there were a couple more places though, some more nice sit down restaurants would be great. The outlet is always clean and tidy which is nice, it’s rare that you’d see any rubbish laying around.”

“I take coffee and sandwich a few times a week here. Sometimes it gets very busy but the ladies who work there do a great job. I mostly get tomato mozzarella sandwich, which is tastier than the starbucks'. I think the sitting area is not very large for a university cafe, but they are in the same shop with a bookstore which gives a lovely ambience.”

“What a lovely spot! We drove past it when we were looking for dinner and had to stop and check it out. The website didn't work and the phone wasn't picking up (and there were no menus on Google at the time!) But we really liked the idea of some authentic pizza as we're sick of the kebab shop styles. With that in mind, I ordered two of those and a couple of drinks. It did take a while but the staff were super friendly and the vibe was *lovely*! While I waited they offered me an orange juice on the house and they let me have a seat at the lounge. I'm not a local but I'd LOVE to come back when I'm next in the area, which might well be soon! The pizzas themselves were gorgeous, we had them on a beach nearby and they tasted outstanding. My only confusion was that they were never sliced, which would be a no-brainer for a takeaway order, but that's the only gripe. Honestly a fantastic bunch of people, a great meal and in a beautiful location. I tried to take some photos of the menu and of the inside to help other visitors too and I told the staff about the website not working as well. Highly recommend you pop in now that you have a better idea of what it looks like.”
