“Met here with a group of friends. Nice waiting area, service was great, bringing over our drinks. Once we had all arrived, we were shown to our table. The decor creates a lovely ambience. We went for the set menu, but what a choice. Quite a few things were additional cost, but still plenty of choice. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We all had an amazing time.”

“Amazing hidden gem of a place. Perfect for those who love their Italian food and particularly their wine. We got a fine selection of cheeses and cooled meats as well as garlic ciabatta and calamari. Prices are about what you expect for somewhere in the town centre. The manager, Marie, I believe is exceptional.”

“We were in the Hoole area for just 3 nights, discovered this place on our first night and would have eaten here every night but they close on Tuesdays (for a well deserved day off). We hadn't booked a table in advance but they squeezed us in despite it being exceedingly busy. Service was excellent, friendly, attentive but not intrusive and also very helpful when you can't decide what you want to eat! Food is absolutely delicious, generous portions and very good value for money. Highly recommended.”

“Went on a Thursday evening with friends and we were greeted with a warm welcome. The whole experience was so lovely and relaxing. No rushing you (the restaurant was quite busy) we ordered garlic bread with cheese and a round of drinks. I was offered any choice of a cocktail without alcohol as I wasn't drinking as a mocktail. Nothing was too much trouble all the staff were so nice it just added to the atmosphere. My lasagne was still bubbling when it was brought in and wow! It was delicious. My friends all said their food was lovely too. For the amount of excellent quality food and amazing staff the prices were fantastic. All in all a wonderful night and I absolutely recommend.”

“We had been wanting to try for a while, so decided to go for my wife's birthday. Lovely little touches, bread, amuse bouche, and petit fours after dinner. We brought our own cake, but they were kind enough to chop the additional strawberries and decorate them on the top. Great service, we can't wait to return. Excellent quality food at very reasonable prices.”

“First time here for us…18th birthday party. We where seated by the waitress and chose our drinks whilst the rest of the group arrived. Drinks arrived promptly! We all ordered our food,starters arrived and where delicious I had the halloumi so good! I shared the sultan kebab with my Mrs it came on a silver plate and looked so good. Chips where so nice too! We did wait a little bit for our mains but there was a few of us so that’s totally fine. The 2 female waitresses where back and fourth all the time across the restaurant they never stopped they are a credit to the restaurant! Well done to them! I hope they see this review! Didn’t have pudding as I was too full! But would be nice to try them next time!”

“A lovely restaurant with friendly staff that made eating here an absolute treat, I'm quite a closed minded and simple eater so I was pleasantly surprised when I found my meal was basically perfect to my wants. I noted that the prices seemed very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of the meal. If I was local and was meeting someone for a nice meal I'd definitely consider Al Dente.”

“Had a lovely meal on Valentine’s Day. I had been told by others so went by recommendation and the food was really well presented and fresh too. Small issue was on menu there was no green v or veg sign so we had to ask but the waiter and floor manager were able to help and sort that out. We enjoyed a veg Al farno and a veg pizza. At the end of the meal nothing on the menu was egg free but they had a vegan option available and provided a lovely vegan cake. Thank you we will definitely be back.”

“Ariete is definitely the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in the last five years. It all started with a simple and efficient website, where I was able to make my booking and have a good look at the menu. They even have a space where you can make personal requests. On arrival, a well trained team, extremely polite and friendly took care of me and my family. Everyone very professional but caring. Each one of us (we were 3) ordered a different entry and main course. I am not going to describe each course, but let me tell you that everything was perfect. The sauces, the pasta it self, the seafood, all perfectly prepared. I strongly recommend Ariete to everyone who enjoys an excellent Italian experience in a happy ambiance with a friendly and professional team. It is a must. You must be asking what about the price. Not too expensive, I can tell you it was worth every cent. The type of restaurant that you leave thinking when will you be back.”

“Had a fantastic meal in house. Enjoyed it so much we ordered takeaway, this was not nearly as good and the menu was incorrect. However, when I phone to complain, they offered us a redo in house. The in house dining was fantastic again. And the staff were so friendly and apologetic. My favourite dish is the Baked spaghetti el sapore signature dish which is apparently the family matriarch's recipe. Will definitely eat there again. I highly recommend, great family restaurant.”

I'd never been there before, even if the restaurant is only a short distance away, but decided to give it a go on a couple of friends recommendation. I am glad I did. The place really is cosy, great atmosphere, and the staff is friendly, helpful and very attentive. The food is in a league of its own. I had 3 courses, and every single dish was out of this world. Well cooked and presented, the food is rich and portion sizes are just right. Prices are very reasonable, certainly taking into account what you get for your money. Would I go again? Absolutely! My friends were right, and I am only too happy to give Kozy my best recommendation.”
