“We enjoyed a very lovely dinner at DaVinci. We ordered the fresh mussels and the lobster bisque & scallop risotto, plus a green salad. Everything was quite good. The server/owner was very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.”

“Visited Ficos to hear the marvellous Enzo on Thursday October 20. We've been visiting Ficos since it opened and I'll admit I'm biased as they treat us like family. That said they treat everyone else like they're about to be family. I think we've eaten 80% of the menu and 100% of the drinks menu. We've had breakfast, lunch and countless dinners, and one thing stays the same 'the best service and food' (that might be two things...but you know what I mean). If you're passing through the Kirkliston/Queensferry area and want a great Italian meal look no further.”

Well it didn’t disappoint, nice atmosphere, no students in sight (freshers week), great staff, they accepted us as walk-ins but I would definitely book as it seemed quite popular. “Dined here last night with the family for my birthday, absolutely superb! Service impeccable and the food was delicious. Great selection of gins and spirits too. Had the Mussels to start with - huge portion followed by seafood pasta both beautifully cooked. All our party had a blast ,staff couldn't be more accommodating, would strongly recommend.”

“This was some of the best Italian food we have ever had. On the recommendation of another diner we had the eggplant parmigiana and the day's ravioli. Started with the bruschetta which was flat bread heaped with sweet cherry tomatoes. The service was excellent and the restaurant itself was airy and handled sound well. The front of the restaurant was floor to ceiling windows so the restaurant was light. If this wasn't our last day in Edinburgh we would be back tomorrow.”

“After a long break, where Fabio's was closed, it reopened and we went there for a Christmas meal. Glad to report same friendly waiters, same warm atmosphere and the food is just as good as I remember it being in the past. Hurray for Fabio's!”

“Amazing pizza I have ever had. Fresh dough, wonderful toppings. It takes 45 minutes to get your pizza on the table after putting the order. But it was awesome. I had garlic bread with tomato base and pizza with mozzarella cheese, basil and tomato. Both were too yummy.Nice ambience, good staff.”

“THE BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER EATEN. My family and I are super fussy but Sambuca is unbelievable, and we were not disappointed. We ordered the Calzone, Risotto and a Pasta. So so so good. I would travel an hour to get the food, it's that good.”

“Food and service were both outstanding! We had the minestrone and butternut squash soups, tomato focaccia, and the rigatoni alla norma. All were fresh tasting and clearly homemade. Michael and Samuel (our waiters) were both lovely and attentive and definitely added to our dining experience. They even split the pasta into two bowls for us, as we were sharing, which we really appreciated! The only disappointing part was the desserts (tiramisu and cheesecake), which did not live up to the rest of the meal. Overall, the meal was delicious though and we will definitely be back!”

“Wandered in on 28th October with my nephew after a long day. Intimate and charming little Italian. The food, lasagne and calzone, was first-rate, and the girl serving could not have been any more friendly nor helpful. The montage of Italian culture on the wall is superbly done and adds to the engaging atmosphere of the place. A particularly rewarding experience after the offhandedness we experienced earlier that day at Coates Cafe along the road. Will definitely be back.”

They really did help me out with my baby(providing her high chair, picking her play things when they fell). There is also variety of meals you can select from and I enjoyed every single meal I had.”
