“Lovely clean rooms with tea coffee in room, also in the room TV, desk, ensuite toilet bath and shower. Towels provided. USB charging points, hair dryer. Big car park and a nice pub the brown cow next door with hot food and hot and cold drinks. Breakfast in the morning was in the hotel serving cereals, yoghurts, full English fryup meat and vegi options.”

“Booked for me by my work. I always give 5 stars. Large comfortable room with kingsize bed. Fairly clean and with the usual tea and coffee offerings. No complimentary shampoo or shower gel unfortunately. I had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on it. Important context: My experience was a 1 night stay and does not represent this establishment in it's entirety. No-one in hospitality sets out to provide a poor experience. Anyone can have an off day”

“Our two dogs love coming here, they are well looked after and the pictures we get everyday is a fantastic idea. Now a grooming facility is on site they get a good wash before coming home! Its the only place we trust with our dogs in the local area.”

“What a superb place!!!!! Very different to the usual accommodation, being old railway carriages and a repurposed loading building, but it's fantastic!!! Tucked away in a quiet location, next to a wood, on the very outskirts of Skipwith, it's a lovely place for time away. York is only 20-25 mins away, and the coast at Bridlington, maybe an hour We stayed in Blackberry Halt, the old loading bay. This is the only accomodation with a hot tub. Really really impressed with what they've done with it. Spacious, a big king-size bed with a decently firm mattress (let's be honest, we've all been to places that are great, but they've scrimped on the mattress and its way, way too soft!), great en suite bathroom and a decently equipped kitchen! A really good staging point for a long weekend! The only single thing I could suggest that would improve it, would be the addition of a knife sharpener! I'm a keen cook, and love a good, sharp knife.....the ones currently are blunter than me when I'm on one!! The very minorist of gripes and it hasn't changed my overall opinion that this place is epic, and we will definitely be back, with more friends! The owners are also awesome. The hot tub was a bit too hot, but the controls for that are tightly locked off. A quick text to the owners, and it was sorted inside ten minutes. You simply cannot ask for better than that! Edit: Here's just how good the owners are. Review read, and within 15 mins, a knock on the door and a sharpener delivered. Wow.......just wow.....we are definitely, definitely coming back!!!”

“Wonderful accommodation and the owners are absolutely lovely. They have become friends for life. It's also a wonderful place to stay with dogs as there is plenty of land for your dog to run around in and Skipwith Common offers great walks and is only 5 minutes away by car. Highly recommend a stay at South Newlands Farm.”

“We’ve just come back from a wonderful 4 night break away at The Oakwood Lodges. Gerry was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The lodges were super comfy and had everything you needed, including a fantastic hot tub. The only thing I’d say is the accommodation isn’t walking distance of shops/pubs so you have to drive everywhere really. However we were very happy with the location as we drove into York everyday and spent our days there! Lovely stay and we’ll definitely be returning again.”

“Great, friendly place to be based for work. Facilities are 2nd to none. Lots of space for meetings and the privacy booths are good too Lorraine & Maggie are fantastic and will do anything to help. There are lots of activities throughout the year the bonfire night was fantastic.”

“We went to the Wishing Well today for my 70th birthday that my daughter had booked. 17 adults,3 children and a baby. I was a bit apprehensive as I’d read some of the reviews about not having certain things The food not been up to scratch - greasy chips ect. All I can say is our food was perfectly fine. Considering that there was a list of different food ordered everyone enjoyed their meal. The girl on the bar serving us was very busy as she was on her own serving all 20 drinks. She really worked her socks off.and was pleasant all the time. She even helped serve out food when it was ready . Later on She even brought out my birthday cake Will be be going back”

“The love staying at sallow tree house, it's one of my favourite places. Selby is such a beautiful place and the hotel is on point with everything you need to have a great time. Would never miss an opportunity to stay here again.”

“We've been renting our current property through Harlequin for just over a year. Upon reporting a number of maintenance jobs that required rectification recently including replacing the door on the cooker after it blew out (only fitted last year) and the living room carpet, the jobs were approved and undertaken in a quick and timely manner. We mainly dealt with Jodie throughout and found her to be extremely friendly and helpful. The staff are always willing to listen and help wherever they can and we are very happy to continue renting through them. Despite previous reviews this is not a fake account!!”
