“Absolutely gorgeous! The owners were so lovely and friendly. Made us feel very welcome. Great choice of food. We only went for breakfast but stayed until lunch orders were coming out. They gyros looked delicious so will be returning to sample their lunch menu too”

“We had 3 beautiful meals, we only booked half hour before (by phone) the restaurant is very nice and clean/cosy with upstairs seating, the lower floor was fully booked after we were seated, our meals didn't take long after putting our order in, staff very friendly and chatty”

“Really friendly, I shared a burger and chips with my little girl and the lady had cut it up to make it easier to eat for her. A really nice touch! The meal was massive and only £3.90. Definitely value for money in current times and friendly too, what more can you ask for”

“I popped in as I was stuck in ossett for extra night because of train strike ✊. The bar has a great vibe and a fantastic beer selection. The governor obviously has a great beer knowledge though we would never agree on the use of sparklers! Me being a soft southerner I'm hoping to be stuck in ossett again soon”

“I went to nikos with my family to celebrate my birthday. The food was amazing, each dish seemed to be crafted with passion and you can tell that just by the plating not to mention the taste. I felt like a vip with how they treated us and care for us even allowing us to make our own dishes. The hostess was a warm and wonderful person and the chef was a jolly man. This place is a MUST visit and well worth a detour.”

“Eller coffee cafe is a small but very welcoming place. Mark & his staff are always friendly & they keep the cafe very clean There is indoor & outdoor seating (under a canopy), all spaced for social distancing. A nice selection of different coffee & tea's, cold drinks, hot & cold sandwiches, cakes. I've been here many a time for a brew & a butty, read my kindle & just forget about the world for half an hour.”

“Can’t fault this place … Decent lager, decent craft beer, decent gin (or so the Mrs informs me) and decent hand pulled beers too (or so my dad informs me). Friendly staff behind the bar, plenty of tv screens for the sport and loads of seating areas but still feels like a warm welcoming local country pub. There’s also an outdoor area both front and back for the warmer months and decent free parking at the rear. Haven’t tried the food here yet, but I’ve been down on the quiz night (which is also great) and the free buffet supper alongside the quiz is good. Been plenty times now since living in Rothwell and I’m sure I’ll be there plenty more.”

“Best pub in town! great for old and young people. Really well kept pool table and a lovely homely feel as everyone’s very friendly and warming. Also has a nice little beer garden that’s brilliant for the summer. Great prices and a good location with easy accessible parking and lovely friendly staff. Me and my friends love it here and don’t mind the travel as we live on the other side of town but it’s well worth it! Brilliant pub. :)”

“A very warm welcome is wholeheartedly bestowed upon patrons on arrival. I attended on a Thursday evening for 'Ladies Night'. The environment was alive with a multitude of women of varying ages, stalls selling Cakes, & several others offering different gift options. There was a good old fashioned, light hearted game of bingo, a raffle & a multitude of drinks to sample. The landlady really is a breath of fresh air who wants to make a real difference to her community. It is a genuine pleasure to welcome her back to the Thorntree where she obviously belongs.”
