“Brilliant Ossett brewery real ale pub this, usual selection of Ossett ales such as Silver King, White Rat, but always seems to get good guest ales on rotation too, lovely beer garden and traditional feel to the pub, lady behind the bar (Sorry I did not get your name) is really friendly and nice and chats about whats on offer and ale in general, makes you feel really welcome, very nice proper boozer indeed, definitely call in if in Elland.”

“I don’t often write reviews, but Me and my Wife went for some food last night. Last minute decision, wasn’t sure how good it would be. We ordered the steak board. It was really nice! The manager was brilliant. We left just before things started to get noisy! Would recommend”

“We visited here on a Sunday, there was 4 of us: myself, my girlfriend, my son and her grandma. The pub was quiet when we arrived but filled up around 1pm. Nice family feel and lots of choice on the menu. Staff were all friendly and the barman was particularly good, steered us around some choices on the menu. I had pate to start and then the trio of roasts for main. Pate was good, thick toast and nice pate. The trio of roasts was nearly perfect but the beef was quite fatty which really detracted from the meal. Couldn't deduct a whole star though as everything else was spot on. I treated myself to a creme brulee which was very good. Will be back to try some different things on the menu”

“I recently visited Costa with my sister in law. Her husband, my brother, passed away recently. The staff at Costa knew him as a regular customer and their sympathy, attention and genuine care was exceptional, and also very touching. Their personal service left me speechless. Respect.”

“Five star friendly local pub. Well worth a visit as it's a shining example of a market town local. Staff are friendly and resilient and the local characters that visit hold a wealth of experience and knowledge on local national and of course worldwide issues. Much better than your fake Irish pubs or pretentious craft gin parlours. No real ale, just real down to earth good people. You should try it!”
