"My wife and I stopped by to see a market rate apartment. We filled out the app. Since my wife is a stay at home housewife, they told her to sign as an occupant in that selection on the app. They Asst Mgr. Rachel was giving my wife awkward looks. Even though I'm a born American Citizen and the sole income on the app, when they saw my college educated, english speaking brown skinned Asian wife was still in the immigration I485 process, they then said she would have sign as a leasee with me and produce an ITIN (The number on the green card we're waiting for) knowing she didn't have that yet. They promised communication after they talked with corporate Kittle Property Management to clarify. I had to pursue them for days to get the answer they promised. I talked to Rachel who got cocky and belligerent when I called her out on discriminating against my wife. Per that bogus discrimination scheme they denied us in the application process. I wrote corporate Kittle Property Management and explained our horrible experience at Brookhaven. Just like they, they have ignored me the same. Per their untimely jacking around, we ran out of time for a 30 day notice and had to continue our present lease where we weren't want to flee the exuberant rent increases. Thank you Brookhaven and Kittle for your discrimination scheme and costing us more money by preventing my registered in the immigration process Asian and I to have fair and equal housing. Don't attempt to lease off Kittle if your legally married spouse isn't white caucasian and doesn't have their citizenship yet."

"The staff at office has hard to communicate with. Not very good detail detail on pricing. Never available when needed. Over charging . No undated units. Tenants don’t clean up from pets. Hallways nasty."

"WARNING! THINK TWICE before moving here. Safety is a huge concern for senior citizens and although the location seems relatively safe, as a resident you will NOT be safe from the extremely unprofessional manager they hired. I lived here 5 years with no problems, but rumors of her harassment and intimidation toward residents spread throughout the complex. I had never dealt with her personally, but finally it was my turn when they raised my rent yet again, and since my lease was up soon I decided to put in notice to vacate. The manager refused to honor the date on my written copy of my lease, she forced me to leave early stating "leap year" issues, which are unheard of. This created a hardship on me and I had to give away my furniture because of it. She also tried to force requirements on me that were not even written in the lease, which is a legal document. After I moved out and got relocated, this woman called me yelling and screaming at me, and I felt threatened by her extremely unprofessional conduct. She told me she was going to "do a walk through and find something and I would be hearing from their attorneys". I asked her why she would do that when I left the unit in excellent condition, and she said "because I am the manager and I can do whatever I want". She then slammed the phone down on me. I found the number to corporate and called them twice asking for help, but to no avail. No return call back......no apologies......NOTHING. This same manager chased a resident out of the building and banged on her window when she leaped into her car for safety! All residents can do is make a police report on this woman. She is out of control and corporate refuses to act and take the safety of the residents seriously. Corporate greed wins......senior citizens LOSE. My advise is to go down the road to the new "Hellenic" senior apartments just opened less than a mile away. Maybe their corporate office hires PROFESSIONAL managers and doesn't allow their residents to be intimidated, harassed and bullied. Senior citizens deserve safety, respect and stability. Shame on corporate for allowing these complaints to go unaddressed for such a long time!"

"I enjoy living here! I'm loving full nights of peaceful and quiet sleep. The residents look out for each other, maintenance is prompt and efficient, and the office staff people are friendly and professional. My only complaint is when office phones are not answered when I phone them during office hours and phone messages are not returned, so I just don't leave messages any more, making phone contact with the office that much more difficult. That said, this is a GREAT place to live, and I'm thankful we are here. Keep up the good work! I'm loving the fun and fellowship here too! It's a true community."
