"Good - quiet. convenient location. Rent is cheap. The Comcast internet service to my apartment was reliable. Neutral - Heating. The heating is free which is nice and all, but you have no control over it. Even as someone who generally prefers cooler temperatures, I think my apartment was not kept warm enough during the winter. Neutral - Crime rate is about typical for a lower to lower-middle class area. which means you probably won't be jumped or robbed at gunpoint at night, but at the same time you'd be smart to always be wary of your neighbors. I had a large amount of money stolen out of a wallet I dropped a couple of feet away from my door. The bad - poor quality and/or construction of appliances within the apartment. Within a few months, the plastic handles in both the kitchen and bathroom sinks had broken. On the last week of my tenancy, the bathtub cracked in the spot where I would stand while showering. I did not abuse the tub, I'm not a heavy person, and I was the only person to ever use it, as the maintenance man claimed it was a new tub. Of course they blamed me for the damage and put me on the hook for several hundreds of dollars of repairs, which I would have fought had I not moved out of state. Oh, and any cleaning they do will be charged to you at $35/h plus some other flat fee. summary - The rent is cheap, but you get what you pay for. Unless you are completely strapped for cash, I would probably recommend just about any other apartment complex in the area, and there are plenty. And if you do decide to live here, be ready to contest some of the absurd charges against your security deposit when you leave."
