Motel 6 Peoria, IL

"The first night we stayed there we saw roaches. The service was a mixed bag. The second shift short haired white guy was amazing and courteous. The other front desk attendants were judgemental and condescending. Then a situation in which I was allowed to pay later in the day led to me being put on the no rent list. Highly unprofessional and just lousy spirited people run that place. The vending machine hasnt worked for a month. There are far better places for less money. Do yourself a favor stay somewhere else."

"Turn left at the shopping center & follow the winding road around to the left turn off the third curve off of the main road. Large parking lot. West entry door is unsecured & bangs shut every time it's opened. Large motel generally in good shape, but showing its age & wear & tear. Noisy from I-74."

"This hotel stay was a quick stop halfway through a long drive. While I knew from the price point it wasn't going to be the nicest hotel, I was still disappointed. From the moment you walk in the doors, that's an overwhelming smell of pot that hits you. It permeates throughout the entire hotel. Thankfully it didn't smell in our room as bad as it did in the hallway, at first, but then the smell started wafting in. I suspect someone in the next room had started smoking it. There were a couple people casually walking around who went back and talked to the check-in desk attendant while I was checking in. It was a little discerning having them talk in another language while the attendant was going over my info. I'm guessing they are long term residents there; that seemed to be the case in many rooms. People were a bit noisy as well. There were no ground floor rooms available so we were on the second floor. There didn't seem to be an elevator, just the one set of stairs in the front. The hallway carpet is in bad need of cleaning. The room was in decent shape. We checked out for bedbugs and was happy to not find any. The beds were firm but fairly comfortable. The fridge was warm and assumably out of order. The water from the sink had a slightly orange tint. The window view was of a brick building just a few feet away. We just used the room to crash for the night with our two dogs, so it was bearable. But we won't stay there again though. There was a much nicer looking hotel across the street that we will likely look into next time."

"Pros- 1. Good location Cons- 1. my room smelled like the dishes weren't done for a couple weeks. 2. The Hallway Carpet needs to be replaced. (1st floor has 10 years of gunk. 2nd floor is better) 3. Parking lot is leary. People walking about it at night. People live in their cars and treat the lot like a trash can."

"Just gross. Dirty rooms, human hair on everything. Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in idk how long. The shower was just disgusting and I watched a cockroach crawl out of the drain and across the floor. researched and saw they had been previously closed for “not meeting motel 6 standards”. Needs to permanently shut down. Just unclean and unsafe. The positive reviews are fake to combat the truth."
