Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile

"My husband and I spent a week here through 3/2, piggybacking on prior stays from siblings. From the moment we entered the lobby, the hospitality and accommodations were excellent. Lynette and GuGu particularly went out of their way to make us feel at home, away from home. The hotel is just a block from Northwestern U Hospital, too."

"The management and front desk staff of this hotel are some of the most unprofessional, incompetent, dismissive, and uncaring you’ll ever encounter. If you have any issues with billing after your stay, you can expect to be completely ignored, put on indefinite holds, and discarded as if you are no longer a valued customer. Regarding the actual room, there were constant issues with the temperature regulation. The only positive about this hotel is some of the room service and breakfast area staff. Ultimately, I have no intention of ever staying at any Hilton hotel again because of the horribly disrespectful experience of dealing with this hotel’s management."

"For what you pay for, this is great. This hotel also had no hidden fees at checkout which I loved. There is a parking garage that is attached but also one just on the other block that is a I used. Self check-in and out was new for me, great option. Elevators were only slow for us at 11am (checkout time), but took about 5-10mins. Outside that one time, we had no issues. I would stay there again if I was in the area."

"My family has been visiting this hotel for many years now. All of the staff is amazing, but most amazing is Lynette. She is a blessing to everyone she meets, and she keeps us coming back to visit year after year! The breakfast is fantastic, the kitchen staff works very hard to keep up with demand. Notably much busier than most Hampton Inn hotels. Everyone was so friendly and in good spirits. Something to note is that the elevators are very slow during the breakfast rush, as others have said, but it is to be expected and mostly people are able to laugh about it amongst each other. Other times of the day the elevators are very fast. The rooms are clean and welcoming. Unlike a standard chain hotel, each room has a slightly different floor plan which I thought was cool! The hotel is very close to a lot of shopping and restaurants and in a very safe location. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone in need of a place to stay downtown!!!"
