“lovely folks in the old pub (much better environment in my opinion). we got the calamari and the seafood chowder. i liked both, but i could have gone for a chowder that didn’t have prawns that needed to have their tails removed in my soup. the overall vibe was excellent in the old pub with lots of touches and old regulars just sort of milling about. the newly built parts are nice, but they sort of take away from the historic aspect of it. our bartender wad lovely, she was helpful and friendly.”

“We stumbled across this little gem on our way from Hobart to Mount Wellington. It was just before 6pm on a Thursday night so it was fairly quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The prices were very reasonable. The menu didn't have the widest range of options but it suited us. We both went for chicken parmigiana. We aren't big eaters so opted for the small serving, which we still only just managed to get through. I had spicy salami on my parma for something different and was very happy. The chips were also delicious and the coleslaw was crisp and tasty. Overall we couldn't have asked for more. Oh, and as the name suggests, the views are dominated by fern trees.”

“It was our first pubbing in Hobart, we enjoyed the time well spent with the musician( oops forgot the name), kristy Harding was the wonderful person through out the closing time, we Shared our cultural heritage and experiences, we had a wonderful evening after long time, Wednesday s the best time to go, as no one was dance floor, musician played some Bollywood music, the bar girl was very kind and helpful. owerall wonderful evening”

“We have been staying at wrest point for a long time. But this time was so much special. I could see the place looked awesome with new renovations and bars. It was worth it. The rooms were awesome and we had booked the motor in first and upgraded to the tower later on. And special thanks to the duty manager Delmer. He made all the process so smooth. He was really helpful and experienced great customer service.”

He rang me interstate, and is making the effort to send it back to me. If such a quality of a man works at this place it must be a fantastic establishment.
