"The new renovations in the restaurant look fantastic. I enjoyed the nicest chowder I’ve ever had for lunch, chock a block full of yummy seafood and served with excellent bread. I’ll be back!"

"Meals were fine, just not worth the prices. Not much value for money spent. We have had better meals at much more reasonable prices (Horseshoe Inn or Mornington Inn). Staff were leaning over us to place meals rather than moving around the table and they also failed to bring part of our order. Don't think I will rush back."

"Great staff and the renovations provide a modern, open floor space. The noise is a problem. We struggled to hear guests at our table. The menu is sufficient, but unlike the renovations, is dated. Our food was bland. The staff looking after us were wonderful. They coped brilliantly on a busy night. In summary, some menu updates and review of the acoustics would make this a top spot to grab a meal with friends."

"lovely folks in the old pub (much better environment in my opinion). we got the calamari and the seafood chowder. i liked both, but i could have gone for a chowder that didn’t have prawns that needed to have their tails removed in my soup. the overall vibe was excellent in the old pub with lots of touches and old regulars just sort of milling about. the newly built parts are nice, but they sort of take away from the historic aspect of it. our bartender wad lovely, she was helpful and friendly."
