Papalani Gelato at Poipu Shopping Village is a heavenly treat for gelato lovers in Koloa, Hawaii. With 30 flavors offered daily, including 12 dairy-free sorbettos, our ultra-premium, super creamy gelato is handmade fresh in our Kauai shop daily using the highest quality Italian and Hawaiian ingredients. Since 2008, we have been serving true artisanal gelato that rotates and varies in flavors day by day, week to week, and season by season.
Don't wait too long to try our delicious gelato, as many flavors sell out quickly! We also create custom-made gelato cakes for special occasions, with orders requiring a minimum of 4 full days or 96 hours in advance. Please note that cakes must be picked up at our store in the Poipu Shopping Village, as we do not offer delivery.

"Oh. My. God. I’ve traveled 4,300 miles and the first person I talked to is an alum from my HS. First of all, small world, but amazing interactions. Genuinely so nice and funny, letting us sample EVERYTHING, and giving us samples of what he recommends. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough! The flavors are incredible, great place, lil bit of a wait, but well worth it, every single time. Coming here every day that I am here! Living the dream with every bite!"
"Their best flavor was the Kauai crunch. I tried oreo, chocolate brownie, bisconi and the raspberry too. But out of all the Kauai crunch was the best for me then I liked the chocolate brownie most. They have a wide range of non dairy sorbet ice creams too. Didn’t try any of those but m sure they are good too"
"I was craving shaved ice but my wife was craving macadamia nut ice cream, and boy, did this place deliver! If you’re looking for some good ole gelato with the kindest staff, then you’re in the right place. The owner works so hard and makes all the gelato here, so that she can assure the quality is top notched. The gelato business is very hard to run, but this place in particular is very well run by a passionate business owner who cares about quality."
