"Puka dog was really tasty!! We went right when they opened so no line yay! To be 100% real I would not wait 30+ minutes in line for this, but if you can get here early on a weekday, definitely give it a try! The lilikoi lemonade was really good!! The workers were short but still nice enough to keep the experience good!"
"My all time favorite place to eat in Kauai. First had a puka dog in 2012, and thought about it every day since until I finally returned in Feb 2024. I had four dogs this trip around. My only regret is that I didn’t get to try all 6 tropical relishes. Truly the most unique and delicious hot dog experience I’ve ever had. Look for me in my t shirt on the mainland!"
"The Puka Dog is famous in Kuaui, and a specialty that was highly recommended. I enjoyed the unique aspects of the bun, relishes, and options, available for the dog, I had the hot garlic sauce along with Hawaiian style mustard and coconut relish. Awesome combo! The sausage was just that and not a hot dog, but it was very good. Make sure to wash it down with fresh squeezed lemonade!"
"Fun experience! Pretty constant 30 minute line outside the building, but it was worth the wait. Delicious hot dogs, fruit toppings, and homemade mustard were all excellent. Highly recommend you stop by!"
"Puka Dog was a great place to stop in while we were checking out Poipu Beach. The staff was super friendly and they got us our food quickly. We got 2 polish dogs. Mild garlic sauce, pineapple relish, Hawaiian mustard: this was our favorite combo of the two mostly because of the pineapple relish. Next time I'd like to try it with the spicy jalapeno or hot garlic sauce. Spicy jalapeno garlic sauce, mango relish, Hawaiian mustard: this one was really good! The spicy jalapeno garlic tied with the mango relish reminded me of mango salsa. Overall delicious!"
