Taste of India

"I went to Taste of India tonight and it was not as good and flavorful as it has been in the past. We politely asked our server if things had changed and found out they have completely new owners and management. Let it be known that now the servers do not receive any of the tips that customers leave and it instead goes to the restaurant. The server was kind enough to let me know as I was paying because it is not posted anywhere in the restaurant, yet the system still prompts the customer to leave a tip. I find this very unsettling about the future of the restaurant as I don’t think she would’ve mentioned if the boss was around. Very disappointed because this used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus."

"Me and the wife decided to try something different tonight. And we were quite suprise. The food was delicious and made to order. The Bullet Naan was awesome. The Chicken and Lamb dishes we order was good. A little to spicy for my wife. We both order spice level 2. (Medium) I enjoy the spicy. We are definitely coming back."

"Selection was good food was nice. The Naan was freshly cooked and the staff were nice but had trouble explaining the menu. I got the Rogan Josh. It’s a lamb dish here and I’m not the biggest fan of lamb but I like to try different things. I normally get the chicken tikka or a standard chicken curry. I was the only one in the store which always makes me nervous when it’s lunch time. The sweet tea was good but I had to make an eye contact with my waiter to get his attention since my glass was empty. There were 5 waiters sort of talking to each other. The refill had no ice so you’ll need to ask. I think it’s more a cultural thing wanting enormous amount of ice in my drinks. I’d say come maybe Friday Saturday or Sunday to try the buffet."

"My girls and I visited this place for the first time today. Our dishes were good. I had the Chicken Afghani it was very mild but very flavorful. My meal was very filling, I had to take some home. My girls had shrimp curry. One of my girls ordered spice level spicy but it wasn't spicy. However, my son's chicken vindaloo was spicy but not has flavorful. The chicken vindaloo was different from the way we had it at other places so we experienced another take on it. Overall my girls had a good experience. The waiter was very pleasant. Give them a try."

"Absolutely amazing. Asked for super mild knowing it's naturally a little bit and it was perfect! Can't wait to go back. Our whole table was pleased with the dishes, appetizers and service. We all took to go leftovers at a very reasonable price."
