"I shop at this store even though it is farther from me in comparison to other stores. I have had a good experience for a couple of years till today. The usual associates are always so sweet at the checkout counter. My experience has slowly been deteriorating over the past few weeks. Bear in mind I worked at Publix for over 4 years, so I know the standard, at least 5-8yrs ago. A lot of sale items were out of stock for BOGO sales that started today. I discovered halfway through checkout that the eggs I grabbed were cracked, and I asked if they can be swapped. The cashier looked at me and said she’s not sure what to do, and that I need to go and find a grocery/dairy associate to do so for me…with my baby and a toddler… Fine. I leave the checkout line to go do so. Thankfully a produce associate was kind enough to find the same eggs in back stock. My order was saved and completed at the customer service counter. After checking out, I had to look around several times and ask if I can be helped out to my car (no need to unload for me, just a second set of hands) since I have both a stroller and a full cart. There was hesitation that I absolutely did not expect. I don’t expect this good treatment elsewhere, but if the treatment is the same, then I’d rather spend less somewhere else with no expectations."
"There is a bagger at this location, a taller, African American gentleman that is also handy-capable. He is delightful. We chose to buy flowers for a dinner party, and this young man was so happy and pleased with "all of the flower colors, you should go look, they have blue and yellow and everything", and we were so thrilled that he was so thrilled, we had to buy that man some colorful flowers. Thank you, also, to the manager on duty as he helped identify the employee, promised that Caleb would get his flowers! Thank you, everyone at the Macland Publix! You are a credit to your employees and customers! Thank you!"
