Peppertree Village

"I have been at Peppertree for almost a year now, after being in different apartment complexes this is the first one that actually felt like a home. A big convenience with the location of this complex as well! The only issue I have had here was with the air conditioner sometimes freezing over, but with one phone call the Maintenance team was on it within an hour and had it fixed, excellent service. They were always very friendly as well. Janelle at the front desk is extremely professional and easy to talk with about any needs/questions. Thank you for always being so nice and helpful Janelle! I rarely hear any of my neighbors as well. I will always recommend this property to others looking for a rental!"

"Jenell is very condescending. She talks to you like you’re a child. Extremely unprofessional. I don’t understand how you could hire such an ignorant person to represent your apartment complex. She is a Nitemare to deal with. Do yourselves a favor and fire the girl. You would be better off."

"I'd like to take a moment to once again say much appreciated to the entire staff from maintenance to office for addressing all matters with poise and urgency. The upkeep & upgrades make it nice to come home to. The location is close to everything you need yet when entering the property, it feels like an oasis. Just a simple thank you from a 4-year resident."

"I’ve signed 3 or 4 leases at Peppertree so I’ve been here for quite some time. The best part of living here was how nice and friendly the old set of maintenance guys were, but now there are new faces alllll the time. Management—they’re typically not very helpful unless you stay on top of them and complain enough. If you have an issue expect them to NOT go above and beyond. Recently, we received notices that the cost of internet would be included in our rent and there’s nothing we can do about it. Even if you do not have Spectrum services they’re going to include the cost of internet in your rent. Even if you prefer to choose your own service provider they’re still going to include the cost of Spectrum’s services in your rent. Times are hard enough without them adding unnecessary costs that we’re being forced to pay. It was confirmed by management that they definitely get $$ for participating in this “bulk account” program so it’s a money thing at the expense of the residents. When I called to speak with someone about this (Janelle) I was given a very black & white answer and basically told that there was nothing that could be done. I asked what would happen if we now struggled to pay rent on time bc of the additional charges (I have my finances down to a science and pay them according to my pay cycle and the first of the month is already TIGHT but I have never been late on rent—check my record). Of course they say there’s a penalty for paying late. Making this decision for residents was extremely tone deaf as they’re only thinking about the additional money they’ll make from it! Also, the property has gone down hill because the quality of people moving in do not care about the property. There’s trash in the parking lot, the shared foyers can be cluttered with bicycles/toys/garbage, and neighbors do not pick up after their huge dogs which means there’s huge poops all over the property. If you have a non emergency maintenance request forget about getting help bc they will only send someone if it’s an emergency. I am due for a carpet cleaning (for renewing my lease) and my shower needs to be reglazed but it’s not an emergency so it hasn’t been done and apparently I’m on a “list” and my turn is coming. The first red flag should’ve been my car being broken into the first night of living here, but I stayed bc moving is costly and stressful. I have an older unit (cream carpet, white appliances, and damaged vertical blinds) but the rent continues to rise with no fixes. Save your money and move somewhere nicer for the cost."

"Hi future residents, I've been staying here for a year and a half, I resigned my lease and that was the biggest mistake on my behalf. This is a poor place to live, the office workers sucks and their rude. I was promised things I never got, something simple as a carpet cleaning upon renewal, I never received. Random people stealing my clothes out the laundry room, went the whole weekend with no AC, and most of all, there's a rat in the attic. I highly recommend not moving into peppertree village, over priced for what you receive. Lucky to leave one star, and I'm thinking about taking that star away."
