Copeland Park

This park is home to the Aquatics division, which operates 12 pools and 9 splash pads throughout the city. With 5 pools open year-round and 7 seasonal pools open in the summer months, Copeland Park offers a variety of aquatic programs for all ages and abilities. From swim lessons and fitness classes to lifeguard training and competitive team opportunities, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, lap swim and open swim hours are available, along with year-round access to splash pads. Engaging in just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, can significantly decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. However, safety is a top priority at Copeland Park - if lightning is seen or thunder heard, the pool will be closed until 30 minutes have passed without any lightning or thunder. In such cases, all patrons will be asked to leave the pool and deck areas immediately, with no refunds for weather closures.
