Beach Haven Gulfview II

"Gulfview has gone down in quality in recent years, unfortunately as their prices continue to climb. Destin is still great, but we will no longer be staying at these condos. Lots of little complaints that add up more and more over the years that we've been staying here. They can't seem to hire good pest control, and I know thats common in this area but we've stayed at multiple other places in the Destin/Ft Walton area that seem to be able to keep it in check. The back pool is no longer heated, so there are plenty of days where it feels like you are taking an ice bath unless it's very hot out. It's obvious to anyone who pulls in here that it is a budget condo place, and that's fine, as we've had plenty of great stays over the last 30 years of coming down here. But if your quality overall is just going to continue to go down, and you keep cutting corners and you continue to increase prices? It's no longer budget. It's just run down at this point."

"We really like this condo. clean close to beach ⛱️ walking distance to good restaurants and the beds were comfortable. everything as described. Only thing to complain about would be no parking pass in the condo. We really didn't need it. We will definitely be back."

"Room was ok. A bit more of a party scene than I expected but still ok for the 5yr old. One of the two pools the listing advertised was closed the entire time. The water at the beach was completely filled with gross green slime (June grass). We ended up going east about an hour and found nicer water. The sand was gorgeous and they let you put a real shade tarp up anywhere which is a huge plus."

"Loved it. Condo was perfect size for my family of three. Could've fit more though. Clean and comfortable. Beach was right across the street with a crosswalk on front and a gate code to get to the beach so it's far from the public area and thus less crowded. Beautiful view from the balcony."

"Unit 325 I will start by saying the location is steps away from the beach and there are 2 pools that weren’t as packed as most resorts or condos in the area. The positives stop there. The room was FILTHY. Bugs in the lights, mattress springs broken and sink in in master, pullout bed was broken, deck was about 4 feet wide and gave you a wonderful view of A/C units. The microwave had chunks in it, the floor had plastic tags from clothing from previous vacationers, my 2 year olds feet were black after 30 minutes, sand on the floor, clearly the cleaning service did not sweep or mop, clean microwave, nor cabinets, as there were chunks of black something lying around the dishes. The pillows and walls on the top bunk were disgusting, like years of kids touching the wall with their feet. And pillows were covered in a possible hello substance. Lights had dead bugs in them, fans caked in dust, rusted out beach chair and umbrella hanging out from under the bed, stand next to couch had crumbs and a black curly, as did the sheets in the bunk. All the sheets were stained and I suspect they were never washed. This place was repulsive. Luckily, in this case, we went through a property management company and they relocated us after about 4 miserable hours. Yuck! Pay an extra $50 a night and stay somewhere nicer!"
