"I think that Jillybeans is one of the undiscovered gems in Dunedin. From the outside, it appears to be a “Mom and Pop“ ice cream stand. But when you go inside, you discover an ice cream stand with so much more. My wife and I ate dinner last night at Jillybeans. Each of us had a cheeseburger with bacon, and we split an order of onion rings. The burgers were tasty and the onion rings did the trick for us. The menu includes multiple other hot food items as well, including two different sizes of hotdogs. They also serve adult beverages, such as wine, beer, and cocktails. Where the restaurant really shines, however, is in their ice cream offerings. They sell nearly 2 dozen flavors of ice cream, but for those who have dairy intolerance, they offer several flavors of Philadelphia water ice and several flavors of non-dairy ice cream. Because I cannot eat dairy, I have a double dip dish of peanut butter and chocolate non-dairy ice cream. When I tasted it, I told my wife, “I think they made a mistake and gave me two dips of the regular ice cream!” That is how good the non-dairy ice cream was. My wife got a double dip dish of Almond Joy and Kahlua Crunch ice cream, and she loved it. The restaurant has plenty of parking, with indoor seating at four or five tables, and lots of outdoor seating as well. We have such a good experience last night, which was our first time eating at the restaurant, that I would heartily recommend Jillybeans for your next meal away from home."
