"My wife and I decided to dine at the Happy Cactus while staying at the nearby Hampton Inn, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. From the warm welcome by the host to the charming ambiance of the dining room, everything felt inviting. We started with delicious margaritas and enjoyed flavorful tacos and enchiladas for dinner, all served promptly. The restaurant's family-owned atmosphere shone through in the attentive service and friendly demeanor of the staff. We highly recommend this establishment and look forward to returning in the future."

"Had been wanting to try Happy Cactus for quite some time after several friends had recommended it. Finally got there on a last minute dinner decision on a Tuesday just before closing time. Started with a couple margaritas and the chips and salsa flight. The guacamole salsa was the best of the three with the hot salsa having a great kick to it. The chips were cooked to order and so fresh. Dinner was chile rellenos and carnitas tacos. As a typical go-to dish for me, the Guanajuato Relleno was probably the best I've ever had. Fast and friendly service as well. Looking forward to returning soon."

"The service and food were absolutely spot on. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly and was happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. The food was delicious. I ordered the fajita combo which was enough for 2 people. I will definitely be back. You should definitely give this place a try."

"We just found this little gem in Dunedin and absolutely loved it. The best Mexican food we’ve found in Florida. Food was delicious & menu items are named after the regions where the recipes are from. Chips are fresh fried just for you! Beer was ice cold & the staff was very friendly! Put this at the top of your list!!!"

"Believe all the 5-Star reviews! Wanted good Mexican food after a day on Honeymoon Island and found this place. It’s in a strip mall next to a bingo hall, but don’t let that turn you away. The quality of food, choices, and service were all stellar. I had enchiladas and my wife had a vegetable quesadilla. We also had an order of their homemade guacamole, which was amazing. Our happy energetic server brought out the customary complimentary basket of chips with salsa, but the chips were anything but customary. They were the best homemade Mexican restaurant chips that we have ever had… crispy, fresh, had that unmistakable freshly made authentic on the spot flavor, and not at all greasy - simply perfect. The bathrooms at this restaurant were impeccably clean and had beautiful Mexican art ceramic wash bowls. I poked my head into the order counter and gave the cooks and kitchen staff a thumbs-up. They were all smiling and humbled in receiving the compliment."
