"I have been going to Dr. Hicks for over 10 years. I trust him with everything. He takes the time when needed to go over everything and even asks about your personal life as well. I have seen more doctors in my life than I care to mention and the only one that I still continue to see and value his opinion is Dr. Hicks. I also Don't mind that the portal is outdated as some people have said. I would rather have a doctor who knows what he is doing rather than a tech savvy doctors office."
"Been a patient of Dr. Hicks for almost 10 years and in general have very few complaints of the practice. Very easy to get scheduled for an appointment and a very attentive front office staff. Effortless blood labs and thorough yearly physicals. However, over recent years the proactivity of the practice has gone downhill. It just seems like it's a doctor's office stuck in the early 2000s with no desire to update to the modern age. Long wait times and a very uninitiated medical staff have made my last several important visits incredibly lackluster. After a misdiagnosis and complete lack of responsiveness/timelines on strep test results I came down with a life-threatening infection that could have been avoided if a little extra care had been afforded to me. Between that and an outdated "patient portal" that has been in a state of disrepair for 2 years, I will not be returning to this practice. In 2019, I need a more proactive and attentive doctor. West Coast Family Medical just doesn't cut it for me anymore."
"My visits here have been great but my recent phone call was terrible. Got a man on the phone who is not my doctor (she was a woman) and he said he just "accidentally" refilled my prescription for 6 more months. I did not know that he "shouldn't" have filled it without seeing me. Then he got sarcastic and rude to me about it without me even saying anything... Wow... do not think I will be going back here. If you accidentally do something, please don't blame your innocent patient, $%&*@ hole."
"I just can't believe there still is a Doctor out there that spends more time with the patient than on the computer during a visit. He cares, asks questions and spends the old fashion time with his patients. That is invaluable.
