"Dr. Carter is such a great OB. My daughter came to her as a first time mom with a lot of anxiety. Dr. Carter was extremely patient and had a very calming way about her. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. She wonderful during her delivery as well."

"Rude, not interested in anything I said, aggressive and hurried exam. When I expressed discomfort, she barked out: "Relax. If you don't relax I will terminate the exam". Later, I asked if there are OB-GYN doctors that specialize in post-menopausal patients. She said, essentially, 'We can limit our practice however we choose.' About one year later, I was in her office building and had some time so I stopped in to request a different MD in the same group. The receptionist said: "You can only change once". So, I replied, are you telling me that, if I don't like my second choice in this group, I need to find a different OB-GYN group?" "Yes, that's what they say". "Who's they?" "The group". Interesting approach, no?"

"As a new Sarasota resident I needed to find new doctors. I made appointments with all new doctors as a meet and greet. Each doctor was warm and welcoming “except Dr Carter”. When she asked me the purpose of the appointment, I explained that I just wanted a preliminary hello. Instead of offering some warmth, she immediately aggressively accused me of wasting her time and that she’d need to charge me as insurance won’t cover it and her time is valuable. It was so outrageous. Every single other doctor treated me respectfully. She is the rudest doctor I have ever met."

"I just want to say that as someone who is autistic and a first time mom, Dr. Carter was a great doctor and answered all my questions (I would come in with them written down in a notebook) and made me feel comfortable with all of the questions I did have! If I started to ramble nervously she would help me get back on track but I did not ever feel rushed in my appointments. I have terrible social anxiety and I also have past trauma that makes going to any OB-GYN difficult for me but Dr. Carter is an amazing physician with a lot of respect for her patients."

"I've been with Dr. Carter for over a year now, both prior to and after my pregnancy. She is very knowledgeable and down to earth, and I've always felt she genuinely cares about me and my baby (she managed to squeeze me in for a visit and even an ultrasound after a car accident)! Yes, her visits can be really short and quick without much discussion - but don't interpret that as she doesn't care! She is more than willing to discuss any questions or concerns you have; she just understands most people would like to get in and out of appointments ASAP!!"
