"Overall my family had a great experience at Hollywood Gateway Inn. The Hotel/room was very clean and we loved having a patio. This outdoor space in conjunction with the pool pleased my children. The housekeeping staff and maintenance were pleasant plus quick to resolve any issue. However I didn’t give the highest rating due to the unwelcoming energy of primary morning front desk staff."

"At first everything was great. We got into the room and it looked okay. But when I went to use the bathroom to change to go to the pool, the toilet was broken and there were bugs on the floor. When I went to the pool with my sister and parents, a coconut almost fell on my head because a coconut tree was hovering over the pool. WHAT A BAD PLACE TO PUT A DAMN TREE!!! When we got back into our room, it was freezing cold and the ac was set at 75 degrees. At 9PM when I went to turn off the TV, it wouldn't turn off so I had to sleep with the TV on. When I woke up in the middle of the night at like 5AM, there was a creepy guy staring at us from the back sliding door. Thankfully he couldn't get in so I was relieved. At 8:30am after I woken up, I ask my dad if he could take me to breakfast because they were serving breakfast until 9am but it was 8:45am when we asked where breakfast was at the staff said that breakfast was closed when it wasn't 9am yet. I was so mad and my sister and parents and I don't want to stay at this hotel again. Get better service and please do what you guys say your gonna do."

"Great hidden gem of a hotel in Hollywood ideally situated right off the I-95 & Hollywood exit. I received exceptional service from both Lisa at the front desk, and Jen, the property manager. Both are the epitome of professionalism and at each stay here, they make every attempt to insure my visit is pleasant!"

"We had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel. We were LOCKED out our room for about 3 hours adding to the fact that I had kids, and had to pass all my things to another room when they were finally able to open the door. I was made aware that you were having issues, prior to my stay with this room (132) Then when I was finally put in another room (134) we had roaches. That's not even considering the fact that some one was smoking Marijuana and all the smell was getting in our room with kids its beyond insane. Also when we checked out on Christmas morning, the front desk lady was very rude stating that we should have left if we didnt like the place. She was not helpful and her response to our situation was "in life bad things happen." This was very unpleasant, rude and completely unprofessional. We were locked out of the room 2 days before Christmas, which made it very difficult to find another place. According to the lady at the front desk, we would not get any compensation for the inconvenience because "we decided to stay". Personally a compensation is the very least to our extreme unfortunate experience. After complainting to the booking the facility denied and was no validating what we was complaining about which was very wrong. Dont come here really bad place to stay. Definitely needs some attention and better customer service"
