Phantom History House

"Perfect!! I own a travel agency (golf travel) and therefore I don't ever write reviews for where I stay. For Phantom History I have to make a exception as it is so well deserved. We didn't go based on the theme, just needed a night not too far from Tampa Airport for flight the next day (after an exhausting 10 day work trip). This is as close to a UK B&B as I've found outside to the UK and it was brilliant. You are staying in a house that has the perfect balance of home vs hotel. It's so comfortable and relaxing with great communal areas where you can relax or work or even chat to other guests or the owners. A fire was lit out the front at night and although we were too tired to sit out with everyone it looked great and we were welcomed to partake. Beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable and every thing you could need was available. In the kitchen there are home baked good (which were delicious) available as well as fruit and many other things, including fresh coffee, tea and a full fridge of soft drinks and all of it complimentary. Breakfast was fantastic too with anything you could want available. The owners are lovely guys, incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much when asking for anything. They even let us check out at 4pm as we weren't flying until late. I very highly recommend it and if you are going for the haunted/spooky theme you wont be disappointed but if you just want a great place for quite and relaxation it's perfect too.] Thank you so much guys Murray."

"We were there early December. Tim & Steve were wonderful hosts. The total decor is perfect. Not scary but funny and just perfect! Free parking, moderate breakfast, quiet. We just loved it. And the Christmas decorations were just right like the hosts. If we're ever in the area again we will be back."

"This was our last stop on our trek to Naples Florida from Massachusetts. It was New Year’s Eve and I wanted to do something different and fun. I cannot say enough good things about our hosts Steve and Tim and their lovely house. Every room is unique and so much to look at and explore. We were greeted by yummy homemade treats courtesy of Tim and capped off the night with champagne around the bonfire. We stayed in the Castle room and slept like babies in the extremely comfy bed. We’re not much for eating as soon as we wake up so Tim very kindly sent us off with a goodie bag that included sausage quiche, bacon quiche, brownies and his very special banana pudding cheesecake - complete with plastic forks for the road! The house is beautifully decorated and there is plenty of room for privacy if you’re so inclined. However, we opted to chat with Steve and Tim instead. So hospitable and delightful to converse with - we didn’t want to leave! I cannot recommend the Phantom History House enough - we’ll be back."

"What a fantastic place! Steve and Tim are warm, funny and friendly. The theme is very cool. Not kitschy, just right for a phantom theme. Bedrooms are thoughtfully laid out and very comfortable. The bed was a dream to sleep in. Bathrooms are so unique. Great peaceful location. Great for reading, resting or napping. You can’t go wrong staying here!!"
