Extended Stay America Select Suites - Fort Myers

"There are people loitering all over the property smoking cigarettes and there is a heavy stench of pot in the air. That should’ve been my first cue to leave. The first room wasn’t clean at all, had poop in the toilet, bugs, and the laminate floor was very visibly dirty. I complained, and she put me in another room that was much cleaner. The toilet in the new room was clogged, so it didn’t flush right, so using the plunger provided, I unclogged it myself. No biggie, it happens. The final straw was NO HOT WATER! I actually bathed in the sink so I wouldn’t have to immerse myself in cold water. This place smells like stale cigarette smoke that has been sprayed with air freshener. I didn’t even bring the rest of my stuff in."

"I wanted to give praise where praise is due. The Extended Stay of America Fort Myers is hand down the best. Ms. Wendy, the manager, is GREAT!!!! I can't say a single bad thing about Ms. Wendy. She's kind, understanding, and always giving a helping hand. Ms. Cheryl is always happy, cheerful and gets the job done (we even LOVE baby girl, the puppy). Kristin, you know I Love you!!!! Kristin is so much fun, so full of life, always positive, and has a great smile. I have to say the staff here is amazing, and they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome! Thank you to Jessica, Mckayla, and Shannon for always keeping the rooms clean. This place is very family oriented, and they do a great job at keeping us all feel safe. I just want to say thank you to the full staff for making my long stay feel like home. Thanks, Liz."

"First time staying here and I saw it had 2.5 stars. Room was extremely clean and great job by housekeeping. The only reason it did not get five stars was because of some noise which I understand. I never saw anybody at the front desk after I checked in and could not get my TV to come on and there was a worker in the hall cleaning and told him and he helped me get the TV on. I'm going to have to stay in a place like this for a week when I get my hip replacement next month and this is the place I'm going to stay. I can't wait to go back there and spend another night or week. All in all I was very impressed...."

"Ended up staying at this location for 2 nights. The front desk staff was very nice. However I was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Who ever does their housekeeping is horrible. The elevator was always dirty. Our room had a funky smell and you could tell the floor had not been swept or mopped. There were tiny little bugs in the kitchen area. The shower curtain and shower walls were extremely dirty. The least they could have done is disinfect the bathroom and looking at the walls you could tell they hadn't. It looked like all they did was make the bed and put towels out. I ended cleaning the room myself cause it was so filthy. I think if I'm paying over a hundred dollars for a room, it should at least be clean."
