"They will literally steal your money, they kicked my mom out for absolutely no reason and didn’t give her the rest of her money. She paid for a few weeks in advance because she was visiting for her father in laws funeral and wanted to stay to help sort out the aftermath. This was the last thing she needed. They were also extremely rude, the only thing I can assume is that maybe they ran out of space and needed to make room for someone else. can’t begin to imagine why they would’ve kicked her out like that. She’s a very respectful kind person. Just be careful…."
"Wonderful staff…front desk gals are super friendly and helpful, housekeepers are so sweet and groundskeepers are friendly. Clean rooms, clean pool and quiet atmosphere. Couldn’t have had a more pleasant stay. Will be back, for sure."
"I booked this place to stay for 4 nights for a great price. I wasn’t expecting too much for a great deal but this place was fantastic. Extremely clean, the rooms were well stocked, the bed was huge, they have a beautiful pool and nicely kept grounds area and it’s so close to everything!! But the absolute best part was the staff. Debbie the manager and Britney who works the night shift were absolutely wonderful. extremely professional and both went above and beyond to make my stay even more perfect. I can’t say enough good things about Scandia (also known as Lake Side Lodge) I will be returning very soon."
"I wish I could give negative stars! The air conditioning did not work! The pool was closed and locked up at 3pm on a Saturday! At the same time, no workers were on the premises, nor did they answer their phones. They charged a $100 security deposit on top of the cost for the room and they will not refund it! We ended up leaving and booking a room elsewhere. It was unfortunate that we had to pay for 2 hotels but there was no way we could stay there! Never again!!!"
"Not much parking but decent size lot. The room we are staying in is actually really nice and clean. The office lady was extremely pleasant when I checked in. I also made a friend here, little girl from Kentucky, super sweet; I guess she stays here a lot because she knows her way around the hotel. Good place to stay in my opinion, especially for the price."
