Time 4 Thai
“Very good, recommended. Several guests were Thai, that is also a good sign for a Thai restaurant. The menu does not look very special but I had Laab kai (traditional chicken salad) with sticky rice, this was not on the menu but it was really excellent. Service was also good, the place looks well maintained and prices are relatively low.”
Ting Thai Caravan
“Staff welcomed us with a warm smile! We easily were able to get a seat (but please note it’s walk-ins only) Good solid choice of Thai inspired food to choose from. Food was fresh and came out in good manner! Would highly recommend and will be coming back.”
Tattu Edinburgh
“Recommended to come here as we were in Edinburgh for the weekend. Food is visually very creative and exciting. Food was cooked very well and packed with flavour. An expensive restaurant but has lots of flair. Would recommend for a special occasion or if you're a big foodie!”
wagamama edinburgh st andrew square
“The food was delicious! The deserts were even better. Sadly it was about a 20 minute wait to get in when I came around 7pm. Service was great, the food came quite fast, although our food did not come out together, and our appetizer came out long after both of our mains.”
The Tiger In Chinese & Thai Takeaway
“I've returned here 4/5 times & never had a bad meal. Salt & chilli chips are the nicest iv tasted, sweet & sour chicken cantonese style, lovely! Chicken & cashew nut, very tasty, daughter likes the curry sauce. Even my fussy sister was pleasantly pleased. This is now our 'go to' take away.”
Tiger In Chinese & Thai Takeaway
“Great food , very friendly receptionist, had a lovely chat”
Supan Thai Takeaway
“Have got takeaway twice from this place and have been very satisfied both times. The food is very tasty, well balanced and is hearty. I have especially enjoyed their Tom Yum Soup. Will definitely be eating more from here.”
Made in Hong Kong
“Very hong-kong style! The meal includes hong-kong milk tea as well. French toast is definitely recommended!”
Lucky Chen Edinburgh
“Great food and service. Never had a dish I wouldn't have again. Definitely my new favourite Chinese take away”
Thai Lemongrass
“My husband and I have been coming to / getting take away from Thai lemongrass for about 10 years (possibly longer) and we’ve NEVER had a bad meal. The food and service are sensational every time! I’ve personally ordered the same dish as it’s so good that if I ordered anything else, I’d have fear of missing out on it! Our absolute favourite Thai in Edinburgh.”
One Two Chinese & Thai Takeaway
“Fabulous food.....fabulous portions and very tasty.....and fine prices. Special fried rice was just magic and i couldnt eat it all.....the generous portion of mushrooms with onions was delicious and....well....i felt spoiled. Definitely gonna be my fave local, I've not long moved to the area and thoroughly recommend to all.”

Thai Kitchen
“Amazingly authentic Thai food, always fresh. Lovely little place to sit in for food with friendly staff. Fantastic current lunch options available as sit in or quick takeaway too. Highly recommend”
Siam@Home. Thai Street Food Bar
“I can definitely recommend the sea bass red curry, prawn mango salad and 'squid in the garden'. The food was fresh, flavourful and quickly prepared. We're looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu!”
The Bapmobile Snack Van
“Working in the building trade for over 30 years I have tried many different snack bars/vans and none of them come close to how good the food is at the bapmobile. A great selection in the menu so there’s something there to suit everyone’s taste, very competitive prices and the staff go over and above the norm to help the customers. 5 stars ⭐️ and highly recommended.”
Macau Kitchen - Macanese & Malacca Portuguese
“It was quite a surprise to find a Macanese restaurant in Edinburgh. By Macanese it means a fusion of Portuguese and Chinese cuisine, and in Macau Kitchen the dishes were authentically well done. Po Gok Gai (which means Portuguese chicken literally) is a must-try – chicken on the bone complimented by a creamy sauce made with turmeric and coconut milk, very tasty and aromatic. The Portuguese duck rice (tried during our first visit but seems not on their latest menu) and the octopus salad were really great as well – we were told that the octopus was imported from Portugal, and it was fresh and tender (anyway seafood in Portugal has always been great). And don’t miss the Portuguese Nata (egg custard tart), the crust was so crispy. We love the atmosphere of Macau Kitchen, and the staff were very welcoming and really enthusiastic about what they are offering. BTW the crockery and decoration there almost brought me back to Portugal / Macau……”
The Thailander
“Stunning. Simply stunning Thai food. The depth of flavours in each bite is truly outstanding. Blown away by the quality of our meal. And at a ridiculously inexpensive price.”
Chizuru Tei
“Insanely great quality of food! Great authentic sushi and sashimi. Hidden gem which does not catch the eye. Service is great. Cash only but that is absolutely fine. No alcohol is served but you can bring your own drink/bottle and they charge a very very small fee per person (sth like £2). Prices are very reasonable. Probably one of the best honest sushi in the UK.”
Cool Jade
“We are away for my girlfriends birthday and wanted somewhere nice to eat. Cool jade is right across from where we are staying so we booked a table here. At first we thought it was so expensive! We ordered anyway as we were already here. The staff made the experience so lovely, made us feel important and well looked after. The food portions are great! We ordered the banquet for 2 and we had food left over which they boxed up for us to take with us. The food is so tasty and not your typical greasy Chinese take away. We ended the meal with Chinese tea which was lovely. The whole experience was so worth the price. Would definitely go back in the future.”
Dusit
“Fantastic food, great ambiance and lovely host. Loved the private room that held our group of 6. So many nice dishes to choose from which made me definitely wanting to return to try them all. Value for money too as you get a good amount for price charged. Had a shrimp starter and a stir fry main with coconut rice. Yummy!”
Nok's Kitchen on Stockbridge
“I walked by this restaurant the other day and I was immediately captivated by the early 17th century building, a rare gem in this part of Edinburgh. Then I saw it was full to the brim on a Monday night and I knew then and there that it was a restaurant worth trying. I tried today with my partner for my 30th birthday and I couldn’t have been happier. Not only the venue was cozy, the food was in a league different from any Asian restaurant I have tried in Edinburgh - perhaps only comparable to Karen’s Unicorn, but this one beats for very reasonable prices considering the quality and the care of the presentation. The food was served in a very timely manner and everting, from presentation to flavours, was so well thought of. And because it was my birthday they had a beautiful detail for dessert that made my heart leap. In one night I have certainly become a loyal customer. Thanks a lot Nok!!”
