"If you’re looking for a clinic where women support women and help them through the difficult life moments where a diagnosis is uncertain instead of discomfiting them further, then please protect your mental and emotional health by going anywhere else but here. The only employee I can recommend is an ultrasound tech named Tyanne, who has the gift of making a patient feel at ease as they disrobe, while lessening any self-consciousness experienced during the modality prescribed. Her ray of light shone brighter than any face covering could mask. The mammogram technician, however, was a different story. After reviewing my file on the computer she asked if I’d received any prior imaging done to my breasts. I said yes, and she got visibly agitated. I was then told that I’d been asked by their secretary if I’d had previous imaging done and according to my file I’d given a clear no. Which is just not true. The day my husband walked into the clinic to confirm our slot for that same afternoon he was simply told the visit “didn’t go in their system”. Not only did the secretary mismanage entering in an appointment we’d made weeks before, but I also had in fact informed her of my imaging history. I remember the conversation well because she’d been skeptical, saying they didn't generally make exceptions for breast imaging unless one is past the age of 40. Interesting. My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 38 and probably would’ve been dead by 40. I entered the clinic hoping to find some support for a lump I’d been carrying in one breast well past the course of a year. Instead I left the building fighting back tears. My OBGYN warned me the staff could be prickly. I wish she’d also mentioned their scheduling system is in a state of complete chaos. Learn from my disappointment. You are worth more than what this place will give you. Find a clinic that actually cares. And one that won't blame you for their mistakes."
