Please note that full refunds are only given if the center cancels the activity, and there is a 15% refund fee to the City of Los Angeles. Additionally, there is a $35 Woodland Hills Recreation Center Administration Fee. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Woodland Hills Recreation Center Advisory Board, you can print out an interest form and email it to the park office. Members of the advisory board attend meetings, volunteer on projects, act as committee members, and can request consideration for a board position. Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area
Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area is a popular park and tourist attraction located at 7800 Cienega Road in Hollister, California, United States. This unique park features over 6,800 acres and nearly 200 miles of trails in scenic and varied terrain, including oak woodlands, rolling hills, lush canyons, and seasonal creeks. Visitors can enjoy off-highway vehicle (OHV) opportunities as well as designated hiking, bicycling, and equestrian trails. The park is open 365 days a year, with vehicle operation and day use available from sunrise to sunset. Day use fees are $5 per vehicle, while camping fees are $10 per vehicle per night. Dogs are allowed on leash in both day use and camping areas, as well as in the Nature Area and Mudstone Ranch.
Cowboy Camp
Cowboy Camp is a secluded campground and park located in Clearlake Oaks, California, United States. Nestled within oak woodlands, grasslands, and chaparral, this recreation site offers a day use area with a wildlife viewing deck, an overnight parking area, and a group camp site with 27 individual horse camp sites. The group camp site features parking for fire pits and horse trailers, as well as access to vault toilets. Please note that drinking water and electricity are not available at the group camp site. Visitors are encouraged to practice Leave No Trace and Tread Lightly principles while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Target shooting is not permitted at Cowboy Camp. The group camp site is open to vehicles and horses from the 3rd Saturday in April through the 3rd Saturday in November.
