"I took the sequoia bay view point trail which is a dog friendly trail. You ll also see many bikers. The path is quite narrow. Might get tricky if it’s a crowded day. You ll have to keep an eye out for bikers if you go with your dog. I dint leave mine off leash. A good half a day outing with your pup. The bay view is very little. You can hardly see the bay during the hike. I did not make it all the way to the summit so not sure if there is a better view."
"Best place for hiking, biking, and other fun activities. It has a great park and invironment for children as well."
"We only tried one of the trails but it was very shady and a nice experience! It was cool to see all the mountain bikers there as well!"
"This park has potential. There are 2 large pools that are just sitting there-- waiting to be filled. Volunteers come to take care of plants. There are picnic tables and a place to barbeque. When I was there was an area where brush was being cleared."
"This was my very first visit to trails around Joaquin Miller Park, and Wow!! I'd put this in one of my favorite hikes within the Bay area. It was a beautiful cool misty Saturday morning and felt like walking in a rainforest. Started the hike at 7.45 am and went on for 2 hours or so. I didn't follow any specific trail route. Parked at Redwood Glen trailhead and covered the following, and all are recommended: -- Big Trees Trail -- Orchards Trail -- Sequoia Bayview Trail -- Fern Ravine Trail -- Sunset Trail -- Wild Rose Trail (steep) I was later told that cars might not be safe in this area, so I'd recommend parking in a paid lot instead."
