Our parking facility is your gateway to a breathtaking 107-acre world-class botanical garden, offering stunning views of the California coastline, the Channel Islands, and Ojai’s Topa Topa peak. Whether you're visiting for a day of exploration or attending one of our many events, our parking area provides easy access to this natural haven.
We offer complimentary parking for members, children 18 and under, and EBT cardholders. Enjoy free parking every Friday, and don't forget to check our Facebook page for additional holiday free days. Please note that we are closed on rainy days to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors.
We welcome leashed dogs on Wednesdays, Fridays, and during our monthly free days. For our guests with disabilities, dedicated parking is available at the Merewether Welcome Center, with options to park closer to the pathways above the nurseries upon request.
As you begin your journey through the gardens, you'll discover diverse plant collections representing the Mediterranean climate zones of the world, including Chile, South Africa, Australia, the Mediterranean Basin, and California. Our gardens are a testament to sustainability, featuring over 120,000 plants that thrive in low-water environments.

"We used this parking when we visited the botanical garden. There were plenty of empty spots. I am not sure how busy this parking is during weekdays, though. We visited it just after Christmas Day when City Hall did not have many visitors. The parking is located a bit downhill compared with the garden entrance."
"Public parking lot for those who wish to use the services of them Ventura Botanical Garden it’s trails and gift shop and restaurants open to the public when available there is a fee to walk through the gardens unless you have a membership and then it’s free inquire with the volunteer staff at the welcome center to obtain your membership and be part of the garden"
