Saddle Rock and South Gardens Environmental Campgrounds are located in Big Sur, California, United States. These campgrounds offer a unique experience for nature lovers, as they are hike-in only with no vehicle access permitted. Situated on the west side of Highway 1 south of McWay Cove, these campgrounds are extremely popular year round and reservations are required in advance. The camping fee is $30 per night, with discounts available for senior citizens and disabled pass holders. Distinguished Veterans Pass holders can camp for free. Campers must check in at the entrance kiosk, and those parking vehicles in the lot must display their registration tag. Check-in is at 2:00 pm and check-out is at 12:00 noon.
