George Nye, Jr. Library
Welcome to the George Nye, Jr. Library, a cornerstone of the Lakewood community since its opening on February 22, 1973. Located at 6600 Del Amo Boulevard, Lakewood, California, our library serves the eastern area of the city, including eight elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. Named in honor of Lakewood Mayor George H. Nye, Jr., who passed away while in office in 1971, the library is committed to fostering a love of reading and lifelong learning. The library is supported by the dedicated Friends of Lakewood Libraries, a volunteer-run organization established in 1972. This group actively contributes to the library's success through events, fundraising, and community engagement, enhancing the services we offer to our patrons.
Pico Rivera Library
