"I’ve been living here with my fiancé and two indoor cats for three years now. I’m shocked at how many people have bad things to say about the arbors. I have nothing but good things to say about Eva and Laura. Both are personable and attentive to our needs. Whenever we have questions or need help scheduling maintenance they get it done. If anything there are some people who live here who do not respect others or the basic ground rules of living here. This includes, cleaning up after their pets, disposing of waste properly and simply having the basic decency of not putting people living around them at risk of hazardous situations.(talking at you people who have open flame bar-b-ques under covered patios). There are mainly complaints surrounding tenants who disrespect this place by double parking. I have come out at times and people are literally parked in front of my space and I can’t get out to go to work. I’ve come home and random people have also parked in mine or my fiancé’s space, one time even when my fiancé was coming home from a serious surgery and left us no place to park. At that time we didn’t have a second parking place to rent and it was stressful. Then there is the trash. The majority of people living here respect the rules but there are some people who just don’t have consideration for others. They throw the trash over the gate and allow it to pile up in front of the doors making it impossible for other residents to get in and dispose of trash in the correct and respectful way. Many people complain about having dogs that bark loud and that they are too noisy. But c’mon!? You live in an apartment complex. It’s apart of the social contract you eneter into and it’s no different than any other place. Before you come here and rag on Laura, Eva or Martin for their hard work maybe some of you need to stop and reflect on how your attitude and even your basic mannerisms reflect upon your view of the Arbors. This is my home and I absolutely love it here. Many of the people are kind hearted and I enjoy living amongst this community where even the natural wild life enjoy this space so much. Also Laura is one of the kindest souls I have ever come across. She is one of the hardest working people I have ever known. Like in many communities many animals are abandoned and left out to fend for themselves with injuries and even serious ailments. Laura, without having to, takes it upon herself to find animal professionals to trap spay/neuter and restore these animals to full health and even many times finds forever homes for them. I for one, am so grateful and humbled to have someone like this living so close to me. Thank you Eva, Laura and Martin for working so hard to make the Arbors such a relaxing and comfortable place to come home to everyday. Thank you for always keeping us apprised of maintence when it effects the water or other aspect that have a greater effect on our lives. Also, thank you for your constant efforts to clean up after some residents who seem to lack basic manners of living here. You keep the place looking nice. I always notice when the hall carpets are shampooed, when the gardners come through and when you guys keep the gazebo looking fresh even though some residents feel like they need to vandalize the property by carving into the tables or writing on the tables or walls of the laundry area in permanent ink. Some of you really need to take a second and rethink your actions and deflecting blame on the people who work hard to keep our home such an inviting place to come home to. To everyone else, I’m sorry you had a rough time going through what it is you were going through but don’t take it out on the hard working people who do a damn fine job of keeping this small Santa Ana gem on the up and up. Take care of yourselves and be respectful of one another."

"Do you like being woken up every Saturday and Sunday by barking dogs? This place is great! Everything everyone has previously said about the landlord is true. I've resorted to staying at a hotel when I need to get some rest I've included an example of what kind of interactions you can expect from Eva. Her BMI is higher than her IQ. "I kind of hate to write a review this bad, but I wish we had listened to the others when we moved in. Truly horrendous experience. We only lived here for 3 months. I could go on for days, but the basics of why we hated it are: -The worst parking imaginable. No exaggeration. There is no possibility to get an extra parking spot and there is only a few dozen street spots, all of which are under trees that lose a lot of sap. There is literally nowhere within anything close to walking distance to park. -The maintenance is worse than awful. We had to remind management multiple times to get things fixed. In our 3 months there, we had the following things go wrong, A/C, stove, plumbing (twice) and mold! We were without a bathroom for 3 days while they fixed the mold and never even moved us out of the apartment! -They will flat out rip you off when you move out. Our paint was perfect when we moved out, yet we still got charged a $120 touch up fee. -Speaking of deposits, it took nearly 2 months to get what little of our deposit was left returned to us. California law is within 28 days. We are considering doing something about this. -Finally, we were given a notice to vacate with no reason given whatsoever. I went to management and at first they wouldn't give me a reason. After a couple of days of me questioning them, they finally admitted that it was because our dogs were too loud. Ok, fair enough, except that our dog had a tumor on her throat (that would actually be the cause of her being put to sleep just a month later) that didn't allow her to bark even if she wanted to! When I argued that with management I was told that it had to be my dog because we have the only dog on record on the bottom story of that hall. Problem there is that every single apartment next to us had dogs also. I guess they were hiding them from management? We moved into another apartment after this (check my reviews) and it was amazing. So, it's not like we were expecting too much. Management is friendly at first, but quickly becomes condescending. She'll interrupt you and lecture you for days if you don't stop her. I think she means well, but just has no clue how to talk to people. For what it's worth, they did tell us that they would be a positive reference for us if needed. So that was nice."
