Motel 6 Santa Ana, CA

"When we checked in the lady at the front desk was extremely kind. She made checking in very easy and quick! Our room was a little disappointing but what do you expect from a 2 star hotel. Some our our towels were a little dirty and the shower had some hair in it still. There are tons of homeless people right outside and sitting on the sidewalk and walking around the property. The pool is no longer there. We stayed with our pets and they were fine with it, however the grass area for the dogs had glass all over it, and the dog bags were gone the whole time and there was poop all over the grass."

"This is not a safe place for you and your pets. If you stay here, you will be treated like a criminal. You are not allowed 'do not disturb' signs. You will be subject to room inspections by the staff. They will not wait for you to be in the room to make sure your pets do not escape. Additionally, the promise of a kitchen at this location is a lie. There is a single tiny microwave on an end table in a room with vending machines and no sink. When I came into the room there were fleas that crawled out of the sink when I turned on the water. Disgusting, rude, dishonest, unsafe."

"This is the worst motel 6 in fheworld. Not only do themake y ou pay a deposit an they go out of there WaY and lie tk keep it.so really it's gonna cost another 100 dolars. My ro0m was perfect when i went to check out a because i through a cigarette but in the trash that I smoked outside they wnt to kept my deposit. Rediculous. Dint smoke in room and it reaked like cigarettes when i checked in and they sw me go outside everything . Don't stay here it. A dump Waist of money . Do not do not stay hear. I've stayed many times and everything it's a struggle to regain. My deposit"

"I'll start with the good. The lady at the front desk was friendly and she tried her best to help. The rooms appear fairly clean though there were not toiletries besides a bar of soap at the sink. The location is convenient to the freeway and there is a small shopping center across the street but not much else. A friend and I stayed there after a concert and I called ahead to let the front desk know we would be checking in late. The first room did not have the TV set up. It was connected, but it did not have the cable setup so it was unusable. Not a big deal, but I wanted to watch some tv to wind down before bed. We were moved to a second room. The second room did not have a functioning AC. It's still very warm in Southern California so this was not acceptable. Also the bed was uncomfortable.We were moved to a THIRD room. I should mention that my neighbor of the second room came outside when I was waiting outside the room to move and tried to talk to me. he made me very uneasy as he appeared intoxicated and was smoking something other than cannabis or tobacco. It was just as well we moved. The positive is that the available room had 2 beds but the beds were terrible. One of the beds had a mattress that was raised in the middle so one had to sleep on either side of the lump otherwise you'd feel like you were rolling down the side. The other was just lumpy and it was difficult to find a spot to get comfortable. We didn't ask to change anymore because we were tired but we did not sleep well. Now, I know this is a Motel 6 and it's a budget motel. However, I have stayed at other locations and haven't had this many issues. I almost wanted to be moved back to the first room and forfeit the TV but who knows what else we would have found. While the lady at the front desk was apologetic, the conditions of the rooms were very poor. I mentioned the things that caused us to change rooms, but overall the rooms don't look very well taken care of, the paint is chipping, there are no toiletries, the towels were dingy... All this to say I will not be staying at this location again, and neither should you."

"Location is the only down fall here. Otherwise I had a pretty peaceful stay. The bed n bedding was actually comfy. And I never use motel bedding but this time I didn't have to use my own blankets. Room was clean and actually very private. Shower even got really hot which was great! Overall a nice experience."
