BUDGET INN & SUITES OF SANTA ANA

"PLEASE READ THIS: This place is absolutely disgusting, it is horrifying. I’d rather sleep in my car. The rooms are so delapitated and unkept, it should really be shut down. The bathroom had patches all over the walls and nasty build up from past guests. I checked in, dropped my bags and went out to dinner. Upon my return, I got a better look at the room and saw that it was absolutely filthy. There was hair all over the floor and all in the bed. You could tell the sheets have been slept in because they were not crisp and appeared quite worn. I called front desk to ask for another room and they claimed they were fully booked. They offered me new sheets but said I’d have to make the beds myself because housekeeping was no longer on site. Unacceptable. I kept fighting for a new room and they eventually gave in. The “manager” walked me to the new room so I could inspect it before moving all my things. The manager stood outside the room and looked on as I inspected it. The new room had a layer of dust caked up onto the microwave and counter tops and you could tell no one has been in there for quite some time. I pulled back the covers on the bed expecting to find more hair, but to my amazement, it was worse: IT HAD DRIED CUM STAINS!!! It confirmed my suspicion that they do not change the sheets between guests. I shamelessly photographed the two rooms as the manager phoned his superior in a panic before we packed our belongings and drove 25 minutes to the next hotel. Upon leaving, we were blocked into the parking lot by 6 or 7 police cars. I think they were arresting prostitutes from the rooms at the back of the property, but idk for sure. The area is pretty shady and there’s a nude bar across the street. In fact, I had a perfect view from my original room. An Indian family runs this business and I believe they live on-site. Their English is terrible and they acted like they didn’t understand my complaints. The kids were much happier at the other hotel and so was I."

"Great location, close to attractions like Disneyland. Clean, nice size room for 2 doubles & mini-fridge. Pool looked really clean, too cold to swim tho, not heated. Just to say a bit about the staff, very honest!!! I lost my cell, evidently in the parking lot, and the maid turned it in. The front office charged it for me. Made me describe it and show my DL as well. Extremely impressed!! Thank You So Much Budget Inn!!!"

"Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. A/C was good. Motel is on the budget side of town, but if you're on a budget and just looking for a good nights sleep, then this motel is ok. Even had a microwave and mini fridge. The manager is stern but pleasant. He runs a tight ship to keep his establishment clean, safe, and above board, there are two, quiet, adult businesses across street, but I saw no problems, so wouldn't worry about it. Of course as a former bodyguard I have a unique perspective on it, but overall, better than Days Inn up the street by Disneyland. And the Holiday Inn Express near Disneyland didn't even have a microwave in room. So, if you're on a tight budget, this could be an acceptable choice for you."

"No hot water and water had no pressure. Management asked me to change to the shower head. The room was dirty to begin with and the we find a big toe nail on the night stand. They ended up giving us a different room. We get to the other room and it was dirtier than the first one. Floor was sticky and crumbs every where. Management was rude and got mad when I declined to change the shower head. Towels look like they have not been changed in months or years. Recommend this place as your last resort or are desperate. Never again will I stay here."

"This hotel is great. My friend and I spent our last 2 nights in here. The decor is really new and nautical inspired. The rooms were very Basic, but had the same decor carried throughout the hotel. We thought the staff was great, they were always very friendly and willing to help with any questions we had. The location is perfect, at the end of Fisherman's wharf next to Ghibelline Square. Our room's window had a restaurant courtyard that could get a little noisy at night, but really not too big of a deal. All in all, I would stay here again. We really enjoyed it."
