"Outstanding service for my dear uncle Arnold Cantor. Thomas-Justin Funeral Home went above and beyond at a time of such sorrow."
"My wife died, and I sent them the body. I changed my mind after paying, and asked if I could have the body back. They said yes, but they sent the wrong body!! It's ok though, because the woman they sent back was less rotted and prettier than my wife."
"Thomas-Justin of Kenwood is the Best hands down! Tom and Jane are the Best ! They sat down with me to discuss my wishes for Mom ! They both listened to my request and delivered exactly what I ask for ! Mom was so Beautiful and looked exactly as expected!!! I strongly suggest Thomas-Jefferson of Kenwood. Might I add, Only let Tom or Jane make your arrangements, Don’t settle for less as Tom and Jane are the Best !!!!"
"Our Mother recently passed away. We had prepaid funeral expenses with this funeral home. We prepaid $12,000. We ended up opting not to have a visitation or funeral at this funeral home. Our Mother was buried in Kentucky so we had a short service at the Funeral home in Kentucky. Thomas Justin did transport our Mom to the funeral home in Kentucky. The casket was bought at Thomas Justin. The Vault was bought in Kentucky. The reason for the one star is the charges, the service, and the poor response and communication from the staff. When our Mother passed we gave the funeral home a photo of Mom. They said they would make Mom look good. They lied. Our Mother looked horrible!!! It was so bad we considered having a closed casket. Mom always wore her hair up on her head, and it was that way in the picture we provided. When we saw Mom in Kentucky her hair was just combed and was straight down. They charged well over $200 for doing her hair. I could have done it for two dollars and in about two minutes. I’m not being sarcastic, I’m being serious. Her makeup was horrible and again a huge charge for this also. When questioned about the charges they inflated prices and it wasn’t until we got another person involved before we finally were able to get a little over $5000 back of the original $12,000. If you are considering using this establishment I would definitely think twice. It seems they have more bad reviews than good. I know I will do whatever I can to keep anyone from enduring what my family had to endure due to the lack of care and concern at this business. TAKE MY ADVICE AND STAY AWAY!!!!"
"We had my cousin's funeral this past weekend, they were not professional or understanding when my aunt asked about when we should take the picture boards (was the second time). One of the staff told my aunt that she was to take them after we had the service and was about to head to the cemetery. He said in a condescending tone "We talked about this last night, you are to take them now." She was a grieving mother! That is NOT how you talk to someone who is grieving no matter how many times they ask. They also had the wrong date for his death on the program they printed - their website was correct, but not the program."
