"Note: Jim was super helpful in the weekly meetings. But those meetings are also free for anyone to attend (Vulcan customers or not). This review only focuses on the actual platform. The data is good, but the cancellation service was frustrating for me. When I decided I no longer needed Vulcan7 (started working a new sales job and hadn't used it at all the past month), I was two days from my renewal date. I went to cancel my subscription. There is no easy cancel option on the platform - only a "pause account" option where you still have to pay $50 a month - to cancel entirely, you have to call in. Unfortunately, it was outside business hours when I called, so I couldn't connect. Instead I tried switching my payment method to a credit card with a stop pay feature (so my account will auto cancel, or they'll at least call me to remind me). Welp, turns out you have to call in to switch your payment method too. So I was stuck paying $50 to "pause" the account (after 60 days it begins charging at the normal rate again). But that's not the end of the story. I put off canceling for a few days (I was going to have to pay the $50 anyways). But since I wasn't using the platform, I ended up completely forgetting that I hadn't canceled my subscription. 2.5 months later, I finally remembered after seeing a Vulcan charge on my account. Luckily, it was actually a business day this time, so I was able to get through. I got my account cancelled, and asked if there was any way I could get the last charge (11 days ago) refunded, since they could see that I hadn't used the account in months. The answer was no. Was it my fault for forgetting? Yes. Should the Vulcan site have a option to cancel (or at least change the payment method)? Yes Should Vulcan give refunds to customers that accidentally forget to cancel, haven't logged into their account in months, and ask for a refund on the most recent charge in exchange for having the account immediately terminated? I think so"
