"Several of my neighbors had driveway replacements with Chandler Construction, so I was able to see the quality of workmanship prior to making contact. Once contacted, John responded in a reasonable time frame. On first visit, he offered alternative options for driveway replacement with costs estimates. There was a thorough explanation of materials to be used, anticipated time of installation ( it’s a larger drive than others on my street) and made suggestions for correcting a poorly aligned downspout. He provided a written proposal consistent with our discussion. Prior to the start of the installation, I was contacted by John to confirm the date. On the date scheduled he and his crew showed up on time and started work immediately. The work was completed ahead of the projected time frame. The finished product looks good. Additionally he and his workers were personable, prompt and professional. I am satisfied with the work and anticipate a quick response should I need additional assistance related to this project (work is under warranty as per written contract). I’d recommend this company for driveway replacement! Good experience for me."

"John is not very responsive. Rescheduled our install twice which required me to change work schedule each time. Workmanship is pretty good. The first winter freeze produced over two dozen pops which was disappointing. I addressed with John and he explained this has a lot do with the concrete manufacture which I fully understand. John agreed to patch these pops at no charge which was appreciated. However, I feel he had no intention of actually doing the patch work. After reminding him over an over he agreed no fewer than 4 times to come and do the work on specific days. Each time he was a no-show with no follow up as to why he didn't make it over to do the work. I had to reach out to him each time and receive yet another excuse. Poor follow up and business practices to say the least. He was always looking to blame the concrete company and stated by contract he didn't need to make the repairs. So, I ask why offer to do it then and then become totally unreliable when promises were made. I also won him some referral business early on with a neighbor before this problem occurred. She had the same issue with John's poor response and threated to cancel the deposit check. Then all of a sudden he had time to do her project. That's not how you provide a good service to customers. Plenty of other concrete people out there. I suggest leaving Chandler off of your bid list."

"Additional Edit:- On July 9th John called to reschedule our job again. They did not do the job on the 10th but did finally come out and do the job on July 17th. The concrete work looks good and we are happy with the work done. We were not happy with the dried concrete patches left in our yard where they washed their equipment. Overall, we finally got the work done and it looks nice, but I would not deal with all of these aggravations again with the lack of communication and rescheduling. We felt very much like he was trying to avoid us . Also...I was never asked to sign a contract. I even called John and asked if I needed to. He told me no. Edit:- on the morning of July 1st I reached John finally by phone. He rescheduled our job to be done July 10th. I will update review on July 11th. I can not rate the work that this company does. I can say that we hired them to do some work for us. They were scheduled to perform this work on June 11th. They never showed up. We called 3 times that day to find out where they were with no answer. On the 13th the phone call was answered and explained to us that he had to redo a job from the previous day on the day that our job was scheduled. It would have been professional of him to call and let us know. He told my husband that he would call back in 20 minutes with a date to do the job. That was 7 days ago. He has not answered any of our phone calls. We have called 9 times in the past week since for an explanation . Always met with nothing but a voice mail to answer my call. I have tried both the cell phone and the office number. If you are excited about having some work done, as we were, I would suggest you look elsewhere. The lack of communication and following through on work promised is frustrating!"

His price was very reasonable, he showed up when he said he would, and helped us clean up a bad situation from another contractor. Would 100% recommend him to anyone who needs concrete work or demolition."

"On recommendations from two other neighbors who had their driveways replaced they both recommended Chandler Construction. With that said, we had our driveway, sidewalk leading to our front porch and the front porch torn out and replaced by Chandler and everything went like clockwork. Great work, on time and on budget. We have no complaints. Great job. The owner, John Chandler was hands on with the entire project."
