"Three generations of my family have exclusively shopped at Shelly's for our furniture. Recently we bought two recliners and one broke after having it for a month. We called the store and told them it needed a new motor. They said it would be 4-6 weeks for the repair. 6 weeks later they show up without the motor to replace it and charged us a service fee and we still have a broken chair. Now they have to order the part and it should be 4-6 more weeks until they can return. After waiting four more weeks they should be here tomorrow. Hopefully they have the right part and we don't have to pay for another service call for nothing. Spoke to Melissa, the customer service manager she said Shelly's doesn't guarantee their product and she's fine with us not shopping there anymore . Unfortunately this store is not who they use to be. Very sad."
"Called to let Sheely's know that there was a table we wanted to purchase in the warehouse part of the store and we would pay over the phone and come in immediately to retrieve the item. I was told "No, you have to come in" so I said I will be right in to purchase the table and stools. We came in (drove 30 minutes), the table and stools are there, told my wife to sit right with them while I go pay. Then a salesperson named Dave walks in and starts going "It's sold, It's sold" and we are just amazed that no one would take our info or even a payment and hold the item or even help us out afterward to find something else. So we went and bought a nicer, even more expensive table and chairs from Ashley's Home Furniture and will not give Sheely's any of our money going forward. They need to get it together over there!"

"UPDATE 10/20/23: One of the owners reached out to me personally and sincerely apologized for our experience. I appreciate the effort to acknowledge our experience and validate that it was not up to Sheely's standards. We may consider trying them again in the future. Their prices and quality really are some of the best in the area. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Like many other recent reviews here, my family and I (3 generations of us) have been proud customers of Sheely’s for many years and have bought several pieces of furniture from them, but our recent purchase experience seriously fell short. We purchased a nursery set on September 2 and were told an estimated delivery date of late October. I am due in December and this felt like it was cutting it close, but we decided it would still be okay. I called Sheely’s on Friday, October 13 to get a status update and was told the crib is still on time, but the dresser has been delayed to January. I asked if there was a way to expedite the order, because if any furniture order is on a timeline, it’s nursery furniture! I was told I would have to call back when my sales rep was in, which wouldn’t be until Saturday when of course the manufacturer wouldn’t be open. We called back same day and asked for a manager to hopefully be able to figure out a solution before the manufacturer closed for the weekend. We called three times on Friday and left two voicemails for Paul the manager and he never called us back. On Saturday morning, we called as soon as our rep was due to get in. She knew exactly what we were calling about when she picked up, so clearly the manager had left it for her to deal with (I would hate to work for a manager like this). Turns out the crib was ALSO delayed until January and she’d (of course) have to wait to call the manufacturer on Monday. First of all, someone should have informed us when the furniture was going to be delayed by an additional 3 months. Second, this entire sale could have been saved if the manager hadn’t avoided us all day on Friday. We tried to support a local business, but since our business meant so little to them, we canceled our order and purchased from a national retailer that could deliver to us within a week. In fact, it took several calls just to be able to get someone on the phone to even cancel the order. At no point during this were we even offered an apology. Just an “oh, it’s up to the manufacturer.” Well, we paid you, so you need to communicate these order changes better and work with your customer. We went to two national retailers to find replacement furniture and they went above and beyond to fix our problem when it wasn’t even their problem to fix."
"It’s been a little over 2 months since I’ve purchased my furniture, and I’m beyond satisfied. First off, the sales associate that assisted me, was AMAZING. I forget her name at the moment(Jenna Shana?? Something similar to those names. She’s tall, thin, wears glasses and has brown hair) I shared my concerns, wants and needs, along with price range. She nailed exactly what I was looking for. Even straight down to the colors. She was patient, kind, and knew how to narrow choices without making me feel overwhelmed. I overall had a great experience, I stayed within my price range, and will definitely be returning there again."
