"My father is lucky to be alive after having neck surgery by Dr Eppig. After the surgery he was unable to eat but the doctor brushed aside his concerns and said it was normal and sent him home. A week later he had a stroke and blood infection that almost killed him. The surgery made it so he can’t eat and his food went to his lungs, which became infected and caused all these issues. Spent months in the hospital and rehab. He eventually had to have open heart surgery due to the infection affecting his heart. And he couldn’t eat for over a year and had to have a feeding tube put in. To make matters even worse the neck surgery didn’t even help his neck pain, he just had to have a corrective neck surgery at the Cleveland clinic."

"Only giving a 1 star because I cannot give a 0 star review. This doctor berated my mother-in-law and accused her of “just not wanting to have to deal with her husband at home” who is recovering from his SECOND back surgery by Dr. Eppig (due to the first leaving loose screws in his back) because he (Dr. Eppig) wanted to discharge him prior to him being able to stand up on his own. Her husband, the patient of note, cannot walk on his own nor can he stand up from a chair on his own. Dr. Eppig claimed he could though he had not seen said patient walk on his own at any point. My father is an orthopedic surgeon in Virginia and I find this behavior beyond appalling. I would not recommend my worst enemy to be treated by this man. In fact, I’d recommend he not be able to practice medicine, as it’s clear he doesn’t abide by the Hippocratic Oath. Disgusting."

"I went to see Dr Eppig in April 2023. I have a pinched nerve in my neck that has caused me extreme pain in my neck, right shoulder, arm and hand. I have tried everything from PT to acupuncture. I went to a neurosurgeon, but wanted a second opinion. When I went for my consultation, the first thing he said to me was, “you don’t have ALS or cancer. It won’t kill you.” Then he looks at my shoulder and tells me, “you don’t just have a neck problem, you have a shoulder problem - but I’m not a shoulder guy”. He ordered a shoulder MRI that cost me $600 and showed nothing more than muscle atrophy from constant pain. This guy is a HUGE NO!!!!"

"Living with chronic pain for years I was relieved to have an appointment with Dr. Eppig finally. Unfortunately his complete lack of bedside manners and approach toward me were so demeaning and hurtful I left in more pain than I went in. Despite having multiple bulging discs and two herniated discs Dr. Eppig kept his focus on how “people with fibromyalgia” exaggerate their pain. He invalidated my feelings, my pain levels and my actual medical diagnosis’s. Dr. Eppig repeatedly referenced an MRI from a year ago, when in actuality I haven’t had an mri in 3 years. He was careless and sloppy with details on top of hurtful with his words. As I seemed help for a treatment plan his response was rudely to quit my job since I cannot handle it anymore. I would not recommended Dr. Eppig to anyone who is looking for pain management or any treatment protocols at all. He will berate you and make you feel stupid but he won’t help you."

"The Initial Appointment took a while to get but it was worth the wait. Dr. Eppig has am amazing bedside manner , He is kind, knowledgeable, experienced and very skilled. He is caring and took time to answer all my questions just as you would expect from a world class provider. My surgical experience was easy and my result so far has been very good. Very happy my pain doctor referred me here !"
