She cannot tolerate dairy of any kind, so I was pleased to learn that Kelly's offers a dairy-free option for all of its cakes, fillings, and icings. Kelly, the owner, tirelessly answered all of my questions and helped me arrange the entire order via email. The entire process, from my initial online inquiry to making payment via Venmo to picking up the cake, was seamless. And the completed cake was just perfect! TL;DR: Absolutely the most delicious cake I've ever eaten, and of course, the best part... I would NEVER have guessed that it was completely DAIRY FREE!!"

"Kelly was amazing! Any of the staff I worked with were incredible and eager to help! I gave her creative freedom for my wedding cake because I ordered a small cake and didn't know how I wanted it to be decorated, and with the full trust I put in her, it was beautiful!!! I also ordered cookies and brownies and I had several compliments all night asking where they were from because they thought they were so good! They are very attentive and get back to you within a short amount of time and answer any and all questions you may have!! I highly, HIGHLY recommend Kelly's for all your event needs! "I was really hopeful that this place was going to be as good as I had read about in the reviews. I looked at many different places in NKY and Cincinnati, and this one was the only one with 5 stars so after looking at the reviews, photos and website, I called April 4th and spoke to a very nice lady who said that they were able to do what I was asking and explained the process to get started. I sent many emails explaining in great detail what I wanted and to pick up on April 12th. This was a cake for my daughter's 14th birthday party and I was honestly really nervous to have the cake made by someone, but have been so busy lately that I really could use the help. So.. like I said, many emails with requests to be sure the cake was just what my daughter would want. I sent pictures of toppers. They explained they only thought one would be best, so I told them I would handle the toppers and candles. I asked for the design on the side with the butterflies that I shipped directly to them, and in all honesty this was done beautifully as you can see in the photos. In the initial emails I also requested rose gold sprinkles be put on the cake and told them she loved sprinkles so maybe around the borders and on the top. I offered to have them shipped as well but was told they had them, and they would be sure to add them. I was told the cake would be $135 and a $25 deposit would be needed so I sent that the same day. I kept in contact throughout the time until picking it up and when I came in Friday it was less than a half hour before they closed and was really stressed. I was running behind and also have a 3 year old who is Autistic so that can make for an even more stressful day at times because he could care less what I have to do when he is just ready to be home. I went inside and Kelly came out to greet me. I told her my name and she said she would go get my cake and to insert my card to pay for the remaining balance. When I initially looked in the cake box I saw that the flowers and butterflies were perfect and that made me really happy, that's honestly why I gave 2 stars. I mentioned the sprinkles, and Kelly explained that she felt it looked too busy so she didn't keep adding them and my heart sank. I looked at her immediately and was honestly so surprised and didn't even know what to say but I can say I wasn't happy. There was another customer waiting, I still had places to go and I honestly thought maybe I could fix it with sprinkles I had or maybe find some at Kroger, which didn't happen. When we finally opened the whole box on her birthday, she asked me about why there were no sprinkles and her face changed immediately. I apologized and told her that they weren't added like I asked and I couldn't find any to add in time but it really didn't help. In terms of the cakes themselves, they weren't what we expected either. We agreed that the chocolate chip cake was moist and the filling was really nice. However the funfetti was very grainy/crumbly, every time you would poke it with the fork, it would fall apart. The filling was a very small amount compared to the amount of cake which can also be seen in the photos. I realize there has to be a ring around each cake to hold them together but maybe using the filling instead of icing would be a better option because it really takes up so much filling space. After my daughter's party, I took the time to process and write Kelly an email with my honest opinion. I was pretty floored by the response I got, which seemed more offensive than anything. She said no one had ever said her cake was crumbly before. She once again explained how she felt the sprinkles threw off the "look" of the cake and that she had 14 year of expertise so she thought she was making the right choice. She also basically blamed me for not saying something about the sprinkles at the time I came in and said she could have added them, which would not work considering the cake was cold.
